This house was so beautiful! We had a family weekend trip to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. The house is clean, large enough to accommodate several people, and a beautiful dock to watch amazing sunsets. The home owners and rental company were very responsive about questions and accommodating to our needs. We will definitely be back for another family vacation!

The house is beautiful and it has an ideal location on the lake. The game area out back was a nice touch to offer something else to do. We had a few small issues when we first arrived, but they were taken care of right away, which we were grateful for. Overall, it was a great week and I would highly recommend this house for a vacation.

Best Family Week

We booked this property a year in advance and it did not disappoint. Completely as described plus! We enjoyed every inch of the property, which was beautifully maintained inside and out. Made fabulous memories with our 4 grandsons .......might I add, the first night they caught fish off the dock absolutely enough to feed our family of 11 the next day!! The dock was of course so enjoyed sunrise to sunset and appreciate the ability to dock our boats there as well. Great property you won't regret booking!

Great Vacation Rental

The home was clean and spacious. Technology and entertainment was available everywhere. The WiFi was extended to the dock area. We had a great experience with the entire family.

Great house for a large group

Great sitting break retreat

We visited in April before it was warm enough to swim, but we the house was a great retreat to spend family time with three generations playing games, sitting on the porch and enjoying the views, going on the hot tub, etc. The house was very clean, comfortable, and stocked for fun and convenience. We would definitely go back!

Just what the “dockter” ordered

Beautiful home! 9 college friends celebrating a 50th birthday. We stayed in most of the time which was perfect! Super comfy with fireplace, great kitchen and outdoor space. Hot tub was perfect to enjoy our snowy day! Bedrooms were perfect as were baths. Lake view was exceptional. Very clean. The only disappointing aspect is not being able use pizza oven without a hired chef. Not a deal breaker but worth mentioning in case it’s it’s important to you. We didn’t realize this when booking.

Thanksgiving Family Trip

My husband and I were married for 40 years and our anniversary is during the Thanksgiving week each year. Our children surprised us with a beautiful charcuterie board that was made for us from the property manager. I just wanted to let all possible renters know that this house was very clean and was fully stocked in the kitchen. We also had an awesome sunset view from the balcony. This house also had a great view of the lake. It was so very peaceful. We are looking forward to coming back to this house in the future. There is a mother-in-law suite above the garage and my husband and I stayed there while the kids and the grandkids stayed in the house. It was a perfect set up for us spending time with the family and also having some alone time. The property manager Les, was available for anything that we needed.

Relaxing weekend at Dock Holiday

The house is beautifully decorated and has many areas for relaxing, dining, and sleeping very comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped (our group appreciated the instant hot water tap!) and the beds very comfortable. The outdoor spaces in particular were fantastic on this beautiful fall weekend— we swam, played bocce, and soaked in the hot tub. Pontoon boat were easy to rent at a marina just about a 15 minute drive away.

Lots of fun with family and friends

We had a great time at Dock Holiday with our family and friends. The house had plenty of room and was well stocked and decorated. We felt right at home and had no issues. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Property

This property was perfect. Location: On the main lake near middle of the lake, 10 mins or less drive into the main town- which has Food Lion, Marinas and Boat Rental, and restaurants. The house has only one neighboring house and all woods on one side, which made the place feel private. There are also tall trees driectly behind the of the house, which makes the main lake feel more private. The House: Has everything you need. Owners spared no expense when furnishing this property. The layout is optimal for a prime experience on the lake. The pictures represent the house very well. Would actually say they underepresent how massive the deck is on the main floor. The views from the deck were incredible, since the hosue was built into a hill. The Grill works and easy to use (which is not a given) Plenty of bedrooms with comfy beds. The suite above the garage was a nice touch. Nice kitchen, bar area and pantry behind. The Sonos sound system is connected throuhgout the house, although we couldn't get it working in all the areas. Plenty of appliances in kitchen as well. The dock house was probably the best part. Rental Management: The Lake Gaston Guidebook provided by owners/rental company was great.The automated text messages and emails from owners reinforced the check in and check out procedures, making it easier to follow. Starter pack of towels/ garbage bags, toilet paper was provided. Check out time is 10AM, and cleaners were waiting to clean the property at 9:55.
