Interesting mix of old and new that works well....open fire in the old cottage was wonderful, new extension was very comfortable. Lovely to hear the waves crashing on the beach at night.

This property is in a lovely location. Right near the beach and an olive orchard. The accommodation is rustic, very comfortable, and has lots of amenities. While there is some marginal WiFi access 15-20 minutes away, the home does not have any, but if you have decent internet you might be able to get a signal. Groceries and other basic necessities are 20 minutes a way (north or south) so just be prepared. If you are, Saltworks is a wonderful getaway, near some amazing natural places to visit. Would recommend a day time arrival as the drive is windy and dark and LOTS of animals darting across the roads. Overall, would highly recommend Saltworks. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

We had an excellent stay at Saltworks Beach House. Tam and Mercia clearly thought through the needs of their guests and we found we had everything we needed, plus lots of fun extras (beach toys, beach towels, games, etc). Thanks for a great stay!

Thank you Mercia and Tam for sharing your wonderful beach house! We had a wonderful few days here for a family get together. The house and location were amazing! We appreciated all of the thoughtful extras such as board games and beach towels. Communication prior to arrival was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. We only wish we had more time. Highly recommended!

This is the second time we have stayed and it is as perfect as ever. Stunning views, tasteful furnishings, great spaces for friends to share time together, great for swimming and walking, very well equipped kitchen, warm…we look forward to staying again!

This property is absolutely beautiful.The views are to die for and extremely clean.We were celebrating our Mum's 90th Birthday and she loved it all.There is a gorgeous kitchen/lounge area with a great big open fire and an Aircon,which we enjoyed a few drinks around every night.The property is so well catered for as they supplied things you wouldn't expect and was very appreciated. Spotlessly clean and very well kept.The beach was a short walk and stunning,my Grandson even went for a swim..well with some encouragement 🤣..At the end of the road there is a nature reserve and a jetty and the walks of a morning were beautiful. I highly recommend this stunning home to anyone wanting a quiet getaway to just chill and relax or get out and about and explore all the history the area has to offer. Thank you Mercier and Tam for a wonderful time away.Your home is stunning. Thanks from Fiona,Leanne,Megan,Myrene,Lauren and Kaiden.

Our extended family enjoyed the beach house, it was clean and had good amenities and really conveniently located to a small beach. We were using this house as a base to travel to Freycinet National Park so didn’t get time to enjoy the beach as much.

We loved everything about the property and had a wonderful stay. The property is spacious, well equipped, and cosy. The kitchen is very well appointed with all that you could need to cook up a storm. The beds were comfortable, and it was lovely to hear the ocean. The host Mercia communicated detailed instructions on how to find the property and was easy to contact when we had an issue upon our arrival. Even though the weather was grey and miserable we were able to explore the beach and surrounds between the rain showers. We hope to return for a weekend with the rest of our family who unfortunately were unable to join us due to Covid. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property Mercia and Tam Cathy and co

An attractive and well thought out property for family groups. We were 2 X families of 4, both with young children. Sublime location, with a practically private beach, large grassed yard for the kids to play outside, tastefully decorated, and every detail well thought out (kids toys, kitchen utensils, etc). Plenty of room indoors, lending to various activities ( the sunroom became a favourite "craft space" for our kids during the stay. Thanks again Mercia and Tam!

We had a lovely weekend. Even though the weather was wet we were able to keep cosy in the renovated stone cottage section of the house. The host was quick to respond to communication and gave good directions.

This is a beautifully restored historic stone cottage with a modern extension. The property is spacious and very well appointed. The layout gives space and privacy to larger groups travelling together. However, the multiple living areas also means it is equally warm and cosy for a smaller group. The property has a modern kitchen with every appliance needed to whip up a gourmet meal with locally sourced produce. The open fireplace and large dining/lounge room encourages chatting with a red wine in hand. The location was perfect for us. Quiet with stunning ocean views. A very short stroll to a white sand beach. Off the beaten track but close enough smaller towns, wineries, etc... Our host Mercia was wonderful and very accommodating. We had to reschedule our stay due to COVID lock downs and Mercia went out off her way to assist us. Extremely helpful and responsive to all communications. We can not recommend the Saltworks Beach House enough. We could continue with more superlatives but you should discover more highlights for yourselves.
