Wonderful Hidden Gem

The location of this property can't be beat. It's nicely secluded with beautiful views. The house has a lot of character and has been lovingly built. We especially appreciated the closet full of books and puzzles. The location is also extremely convenient. I highly recommend this property.

National park worthy lot

Words, pictures and videos can not possible do this property justice. It was tough exploring the region when the property blew away anything else we saw or experienced. As an added bonus, the house was perfect and the check-in/out was effortless...

Another Amazing Stay

There are no words to describe the magic and beauty of Stillwater. Ina is a fantastic host. The property is absolutely stunning. We love the old world feel and the originality of the house. Great property with fantastic views! House style and woodwork were beautiful. Very private, perfect for a peaceful getaway. That said, just a short drive to Mendocino.

North Coast get a way

Excellent rustic house with great accommodations and even better coastal setting with amazing views. Location is close to beaches, trails, Mendocino and Ft Bragg. The host was great and provided excellent instructions and direction. My family loved it and we would definitely recommend booking this property.

Breathtaking Views!

Vintage 1960's cabin with unbelievable location. The cabin is built into the rock on a bluff overlooking the rocky pacific coast. Worth every penny and we had a blast.

Stunning Property and Fun Getaway

This is one of the coolest places I've ever stayed. The view, the property and the house itself was so fun and comfortable. I loved the furnishings and the fact that they owners have kept it just the way it was meant to be. So clean and full of history and meaningful decorations. The owner was so kind, prompt and very easy to talk to. I will be coming back as many times as I can. Thank you!

The location for the house is lovely; however, the amenities are very outdated. Most of the appliances do not work properly; the beds are very hard; and the shower looks like something created in the 1950s.

It's all in the location

The word stunning is overused in our hyperbolic communications, but it is the only appropriate word for this place. Perched on a hill on top of sheer cliffs plunging into the sea, totally isolated from any other outside influence except the magnificent ocean below. The house itself is nice enough, although in need of some fixing up, the furniture is rather dated , etc, but that is so totally insignificant when compared to the incomparable views. We cna't wait to go back again.

Unbelievable Setting!

This is a charming property if you enjoy old and unique (which we do). Lots of fun artifacts accent the walls. The views are without a doubt spectacular, situated high at the end of a private road with a180 degree outlook. It's very private and couldn't have been more enjoyable. We definitely would like to go back sometime.

A private & incredible view!

Sure, it might be an older home, but it has history and a uniqueness unsurpassed. I’d take it over any modern place. Birds and deer. Cold days but the fire was great. Leeward side of house was perfect out of the wind. We discovered things every day in the home. They should have info there about its history. We felt “at home” at once.

Needed getaway

Coming in we noticed the house is very outdated, but taking in the amazing scenery the outdated house didn’t seem to really mater. TV could be bigger for night viewing Especially. All in all our time was spent very well and we received the therapy that The Ocean offers. Also we saw spouts of the whales passing by. Daffodils were still beautiful.

Amazing Views!

We have stayed in the Mendocino area every year for over 30 years. We've enjoyed most places that we have stayed in. This property stands out as having the most amazing view of the ocean with extra points for coziness by the fire. We were 4 adults, settling in, cooking, playing games (from the big game/book closet), and enjoying a quiet read by the fire. Our host was easy to communicate with and we had all we needed to stay 3 wonderful nights. We would definitely stay here again!
