We're a three-generation extended family with an annual tradition of spending a week together in Bayside while we visit with good friends who live in Belfast. Of all the houses we've stayed in over the past 17 years, this was definitely the most gracious and comfortable. There was plenty of space for 8 of us to spread out, and the three bathrooms provided plenty of privacy. The front porch swing was a favorite with our two 5-year-olds, and the back deck is a peaceful spot for morning coffee. The bedding and mattresses were of good quality and quite comfortable.
We thought we knew everything about Bayside, but Suzanne had a great suggestion and introduced us to a frog pond that we'd never seen before, much to our kids' delight!
The house and property are filled with James Wolfe's colorful and energetic metal sculptures! Luckily our children are old enough to understand limits around touching or playing too near the artwork , but I could see this posing a challenge for parents of younger, more physically active, or more impulsive children. The presence of the sculptures also limits use of the yard for outdoor games.
