Great location

Rental was spacious with a terrific view of the ocean and easy beach access. It was clean and everything we needed for our stay was provided.

The view was great. The rooms need some work.Toilets need to be held down for full flush, temperature on shower was opposite of instructions. Hot has to be on cold, ect.There appeared to be mold in showers and corner near shower. The room had dust and cobwebs on wall and ceiling.

Beautiful View!

Octopus Prime has beautiful ocean views and a great floor plan! We loved walking on the beach and dining at Kyllo's, which is just a few steps away.

Cute place

Cute little condo on the beach. The code we had to check in for the door was not working at first but I got a prompt response within 2 minutes to get a working one. Great service and experience after that.

Absolutely Perfect

We had the best time. We come every year for our anniversary. This is our first time at the Sea Gypsy and we fell in love. We will never stay anywhere else.

Great beach getaway

We had a great stay. Really enjoyed the pool and sauna and the view was spectactular. 2 negatives: the property does NOT have a fireplace as stated online (confirmed before we left, but should remove that from the website, I feel) and the fan in the room (with the heat to circulate) was very noisy/rattles.

Sea Gypsy Coastal Escape

I enjoyed my stay in your condo at Sea Gypsy. Checknin was a breeze, the condo was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, and over-all, had everytjing i needed during my stay. Can we talk about the view?! It was wonderful being right on the beach and hearing the Pacific Ocean Waves crashing into the sandy beach every night. Very peaceful! I highly recommend, and will definitely stay again next time I come to visit!

Our stay

Everything with condo was great my only reason for not being a five star stay was due to the inconsiderate people above us who were extremely noisy. And sounded like elephants walking around

It doesn’t feel right to pay a cleaning fee when it is dirty to begin with. Floors were awful. Sand in the fridge! Crumbs on the counter and kitchen floor. Once we swept and wiped it down it was ok. Noise level is cheap apartment living which is fine. The view made up for that. Would stay again just for the view and ease of access to the beach. But would not cook in the kitchen and bring slippers to walk around in.

A relaxing ocean escape

It is exactly as you see in the pictures. The view out the window is beautiful. I sat in the big comfy chair and watched the ocean and sunset many times. Well stocked. I appreciated the heads up with it being and old building and the possibility of hearing neighbors. It turns out it didn't bother us at all. A wonderful place to stay. We will definitely be back.

Clean, spacious

Lots of room to spread out. Great decor, well stocked kitchen. Wonderful large table for dining and puzzles. View of ocean and river is amazing. Bedroom is in back by parking lot so can be a little noisy in the morning with people starting vehicles and coming and going. Mattress is very firm, even with my own 4" memory foam topper so heads up, can make for sore body if you need a softer mattress. No streaming services as noted in description. Overall very nice rooms!

Summer 2022 "Oregon Getaway"

During the week of July 4th my wife and I had an exceptional stay at the Sea Gypsy. The unit was well cared for and check-in procedures could not have been easier. Of note, we had been notified of the HOA's intent to repave and restripe the parking lot during our stay, affecting parkng options, but the changing plans were well-communicated and we had no issues with parking whatsoever. Our Unit, "Octopus Prime", was on the 2nd floor of the condos, 2nd from the end, and as such we had a direct view out to the ocean from our second story window. I can't tell you how gorgeous the sunsets get from here...amazing! We did many beach walks, and the Sea Gypsy served as our home base as we ventured up and down the coastline. Location is wonderful, as it's very easy to work south to Newport, or north to Astoria from here. While there are many places to stay in Lincoln City, having a guaranteed sunset view with a glass of wine and your darlin' is an amazing perk! Everything about our stay was excellent, and either met or exceeded our expectiations, and I wouldn't hesitate to book another room here in years to come. On the Ocean with Easy Beach Access

PROS: Our top priority was to be able to see and hear the ocean from our room and to have easy access to the beach, and this property fit the bill. It is nice that at night that there are spotlights on the building directed toward the ocean providing light for accessing the beach. We were able to easily get to the beach after dark to build a fire and cook marshmallows and enjoy the moonlight and waves. The unit is on the second floor, but the stairs are not steep, and everything you could need is provided including a hair dryer. We were happily surprised to be able to rent this at the last minute for one night, and to find a place with two separate sleeping areas with a king in one and queen in the other, plus two full baths. We never used the Wifi or two TVs, so I don't know how well they work. Everything was quite clean, CONS: except for a large portable fan that was quite dirty. Since there is no air conditioning, the unit was quite warm and stuffy when we arrived. There are no screens on the two ocean facing windows. I would recommend the maid to clean the fan, and a maintenance person to install screens, so that the windows can be kept open to bring in the ocean breeze without letting in bugs or birds. Also, one of the dining chairs is broken and needs replaced or repaired.
