Room was very clean and quiet. Nice view, great ambiance. Very friendly staff and housekeeping. The hotel is being renovated so it’s a little bit inconvenient. Pools, hot tub and eating places made it easy.

Bob was a great host! It’s such a nice view of the pool and ocean! Plus he has plenty of beach equipment for you to use ie: chairs, boogie boards, etc. Great location on the island as your in between every main destination so nothing is too far of a drive from your hotel.

We will definitely stay here again when we come to Kauai! The room is a great location, with a beautiful view! The room has all the ocean toys you will need! Chairs, umbrella, cooler and boogie boards. We had a WONDERFUL stay!

Great Stay!

Owner was great to work with. Location is awesome. Very clean and beautiful. Bed was very comfortable, linens were high quality. Kinda stinks not having a microwave-but that’s minor. Owner gave great tips for locale restaurants. He responded quickly and was easy to work with.

If you are looking for a great spot to stay in Kauai, look no further than Bob's place at the Outrigger Kauai Resort and Spa. The pool and ocean view from the room is simply stunning and the resort is beautiful. We especially enjoyed listening to the nightly live music in the Shutter's Lounge after a day of sightseeing around the island. Check in was seamless and Bob communicated effectively and efficiently, including tips for dining and activities on the island. The room was spotless and comfortable. Bob thoughtfully provided beach extras such as beach chairs and some beach equipment that we found most useful. The resort location was close to the airport and centrally located perfect for exploring both the north and south sides of the island. I give Bob's spot my highest recommendation!

Even BETTER than the picture!

We had a wonderful time in Kauai and were very pleased with our stay at Bob's place! It was even better than we expected and the pictures do not do it justice! Bob was very responsive before our trip and the room was perfect when we arrived. The Outrigger property was very nice- clean and inviting. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was very good. We did not eat on site except for one breakfast and coffee at the cafe. My only frustration was the lack of chairs available at the pool. If you did not get there early enough in the morning, you would not get a spot and there were many people saving chairs without being at the pool. For those used to pool service, there isn't any here. You need to walk to the Driftwood Bar and place your food and drink orders. That was not an issue for us. The property is centrally located to access both sides of the island. There is no airport noise at all! The resort was quiet. Small but effective workout room. The equipment is a little dated but works fine for a vacation workout. Yoga at 7 am. The room was great!! Bob has done an outstanding job of remodeling it. The towels and sheets were very nice quality and there were other "extras" in the room for shared use. The VIEW was outstanding and even better than pictured! You have a view of the pool and the beautiful ocean! I loved watching the sunrise! The beach is not really a swimmable beach but nice to walk down and hang out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Fantastic location

The room was just as described. The bed was comfortable. The provided beach chairs, cooler and rain umbrella were helpful for exploring. Love this location as it is close to the airport and easy to head north or south depending on weather. Our host gave us lots of info about the island, some of which was new even to us who have visited for 15+ years. When we return next year, we plan to stay here again.

Beautiful Property... we would stay here again

We were so happy with our stay! The room was clean, comfortable and had all of the little needed things ( boogie board, beach chairs, umbrella, etc.). The view was a million dollar view of the pool, gardens and ocean. We watched the sun rise every morning! The resort had everything we needed if we wanted to stay and enjoy the pool and beach and was centrally located to go explore the island. It was super close to the airport, so you didn't spend a lot of extra time in the commute. We would love to come back and stay and will recommend to friends! Lauri and Tim

Nice property and great value

Clean, well furnished and with extra beach toys. Cheaper than similar rooms booked through the hotel. Nice intro from the host with useful advices. The beach in the front of the hotel is nice and sandy, but unfortunately not swimmable.

Little piece of Heaven

We had a fantastic stay on Kauai, just sad we had to leave so soon! Bob was very communicative and thorough in the information he provided, complete with recommendations for activities and restaurants and helpful hints for getting around and water safety etc! The apartment was beautifully located with a gorgeous view of the pool and the ocean beyond it. We had all we needed in the room and a linen replacement and replenishment mid-stay. Would highly recommend both the island and the host! Mahalo!

Property well managed, clean, staff courteous and helpful at every turn. Dinner and entertainment every night. Hawaiian dancer one night, beautiful. Room was spacious and comfortable. If we go back to Kawai we would stay there again.

Hotel-room-like unit was perfect for our visit to Kauai. Centrally located a few miles north of the airport, close driving distance to restaurants in Lihue and in Waipouli.
