"We only ended up staying for one night of the two we booked. This was due to work commitments not the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty.
Before we left we had a meal in the restaurant. The food was some of the best we’ve had in a while.
We would definitely stay there again."

"This is an old pub with all of the character you would expect. The location is great and the staff are excellent. It is not the Ritz - but it is clean and affordable. Can be some ambient noise, but that depends on room and time of night. Breakfast was excellent - poached eggs with smoked salmon. Lots of choices."

"Our stay regrettably wasn’t good given the faulty fire alarm going off at 6.45am and slow management reaction to resolve. What should have been a relaxing overnight stay wasn’t as a result.
No real apology or refund for that matter offered!
Everything else was okay but not the level of other reviews we expected."
