Kathy's Place provided us with a lovely three-night stay! It had everything we needed, was very pet-friendly, fully equipped kitchen, you name it. We really appreciated the proximity to downtown Lexington, and the little basket of snacks and drinks was a wonderful touch—it was very helpful to have a few extra things on hand to snack on after getting back from running a half marathon Sunday morning! My only little thing to comment on is that we were confused when we arrived as to which door to use to get in. This rental, the A side of the house, is the right door on the back side of the house but it wasn't labeled. Thankfully, the front of the house is labeled!

Cute updated duplex. Communication was good. Welcome basket and stocked KCups were a sweet touch and appreciated. However, it is a very old home and if someone is staying on the unit above it can be very loud and disturbing. The second bedroom has a door leading to outside which isn’t pictured and makes it feel less cozy especially if you have kids sleeping in that room. It worked for what we needed that weekend, but we’ll probably look elsewhere next time we visit the area.

The location was excellent and the place was very clean. The description was somewhat misleading in that it was advertised as one full and one half bath. There was no half bath and, when I asked about this, crickets. The toiletries were more motel 6 quality than typical VRBO. But it is well furnished, clean and well located so we would definitely stay there again.

From the moment we entered this property, we knew we had chosen the best place for us to stay while in Lex. Awaiting us was a great welcome basket and fresh water in the fridge. Kathy's Place is clean and so very comfortable. We felt secure and cared for as guests. Austen communicates well and answered each question we had. Other amenities included a basket of local information and some nice personal care products. I mean, they even had a fresh sponge for the dishes and pods for the dishwasher. Well done! We would stay no place else when in Lex.

Charming

This home is absolutely beautiful, pictures don’t do it justice. It’s wonderfully appointed with antiques, comfy sofa and beds. Neighborhood is quiet and walkable. Overall, so comfy and cozy. Nice parking in the back. Kitchen is well stocked and large. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Quaint and comfortable

Kathy’s place was perfect for our family of 3 and our dog. The beds are really comfortable and the place is super clean. Lots of towels, laundry pods, dish pods and toilet paper. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make meals and also has tons of plates, glasses, etc. It is walking distance to a few good restaurants and also a convenience/ gas station. And they left a snack basket with popcorn, peanuts, soda and beer. We would definitely stay here again.

Kentucky 3 Day Event

We stayed here while attending the Kentucky 3 day event in 2025. It was super close to many things and clean. The neighborhood was walkable for dogs and easily accessible. The communication from the property manager was solid and very timely via message and phone. Highly recommended!

Great Experience

Kathy’s Place was an ideal experience for our daughters graduation weekend. The house was decorated so cute and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was close to downtown and UK. The host was very accommodating and communicative. We only had one small issue and it was resolved quickly.

Lovely!

My husband and I spent two nights here while in town for Family Weekend at UK. It was a very short drive to campus, and the house is conveniently located close to a bakery and restaurant as well. The home is charming, comfortable, clean, and cute! As an life-long horse owner, I absolutely loved the equestrian decor. Make sure to bring along necessities for morning coffee as the kitchen is stocked with appliances and accessories, but we did forget to pack coffee and sugar - we’ll know for next time. The welcome basket of treats and beverages was a wonderful touch. This is on our short list of places to stay when we’re in town to visit our daughter!

Charming house in Lexington

This place was as advertised. Great place for a small family in the heart of everything in Lexington. House is located in a safe area, property manager was very helpful and even allowed us a early check in since we arrived early. We give it 5 stars all the way around

Lovely cottage home in historic neighborhood

Always a pleasure visiting Lexington and staying in this lovely cottage home. We enjoy the historic residential neighborhood. Easy walking distance to stores and restaurants. A little longer walk to downtown but worth the effort!

Great historic neighborhood

Lovely home in great location. Second bed is a somewhat uncomfortable daybed with a trundle. When we left we packed all of our items but inadvertently left refrigerated items in a bag on the counter. We went to breakfast and returned to the rental to pick them up. The cleaning crew was there and we announced our presence loudly multiple times. Getting no response, we picked up our refrigerated items and left. Later that evening I got an unexpected and rude call from the cleaning staff regarding our return to pick up our remaining items.

Lovely location - close to everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely apartment within a home in a historic neighborhood in Lexington. Two bedrooms are small but comfortable for 2-3 people. Walking distance to downtown, beautiful neighborhood and amazing restaurants close by.

Quaint Neighborhood

This duplex was perfect for my husband, puppy, and me. Clean, comfortable, well decorated and nice touches to make visitors feel welcomed. There was plenty of parking offstreet and so much fun to walk the neighborhoods. It was quiet too. My pup liked looking out the front door at all the people who walked by (she’s not a city dog). Ours was a last minute booking and the owner was so helpful. They even had some jazz playing when we walked in, how awesome is that! We would definitely recommend this home and hope to return. Thanks
