Beautiful home

Our hosts were amazing and quick to respond if we needed them. The property was very clean and had everything we needed and more! Lots of great restaurants close by as well.

Very comfortable accommodations!

We really enjoyed our first visit to Margie’s Place Very comfortable for our family and relatives to gather. Bedrooms provided plenty of room and comfort, kitchen was easy and clean with plenty of items for cooking and eating. The house was tastefully furnished and we especially appreciated the several places to sit for dialogue and games! We look forward to a return visit.

Best cottage

Margies place exceeding our expectations. The grounds are superbly kept and the house is clean and spacious. It’s bigger than we expected with rooms and quiet area. It was perfect for our family vacation and provided comfort and quiet during our family time together. Would recommend it to everyone.

This house worked out wonderfully for us. It was about 15 minutes from the wedding venue. The number of bedrooms was just right. The house was very clean and well stocked.

This is a well maintained, beautiful home with many amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there while visiting our daughter in college. We will definitely try to rent this home again!

Christmas visit to family.

We have stayed here on multiple occasions. This property provides a very family friendly place to stay. Everything that you’d have in your own home you will find here. Very clean and neat. Plenty of room to move about and relax. The hosts are friendly and cordial.

Terrific Home!

This is, by far, the best home we’ve ever stayed in! The home is beautifully decorated, clean, and has everything you could ever want or need. There’s plenty of room and many amenities. The owners are easy to communicate with, friendly, and trustworthy. I could not recommend this place more!

Golf trip and Masters practice round

Myself, 2 adult sons and grandson played golf around Columbia and attended the Monday Masters practice round. Would not have changed anything including the accommodations. Hal and Linda made for a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

In town for a funeral

We were in town for a funeral. The house is very charming, cozy, roomy, well equipped, nice big yard, fire pit, had free YouTube TV in every room. It was really nice to have the peace and quiet during our stay. We highly recommend Margie’s Place. We know where we are staying next time we are in town hopefully if available! Lake just down the street.

Wonderful Home

My family stayed in this home to celebrate my son's graduation from the University of South Carolina. It was the perfect home. There was plenty of space for all the family to gather for breakfasts and we had a bonfire/smores night as well. It was only about 20 minutes from the campus and there were lots of good restaurant options within 5-10 minutes. The owners were very helpful with early check-in and even set up the bonfire area for us when we arrived. Sad that we only found this house when my son's 4 years were over. Definitely will look to book again on another trip to South Carolina. Highly recommend.

I stayed here ahead of USC fall graduation with my husband, 2 sons, and my parents. There was plenty of space to be together but also have our own space and privacy. Everything we needed was truly in the kitchen. We've read that in other listings and then gotten there only to be disappointed - that was NOT the case here! They had everything we needed and more. Even the wine glasses were themed to the winter season. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean - exactly how it looks in the pictures. There were so many nice touches that made the house feel like home - decorations for the holiday, throw blankets, books, plenty of tvs, a dish of chocolates (my sons loved that!), and a really helpful welcome book. The house is close to plenty of things to do (we enjoyed shopping and dinner at Mellow Mushroom) and was less than a 30 minute ride to the University even during rush hour. I highly recommend you book this home if you need to stay in the area - you won't be disappointed!

Awesome vacation home!

This property is just beautiful! We rented in conjunction with our wedding. Had a pre-ceremony meet & greet with our families. There were so many compliments from family. The space & layout was perfect. Abundance of towels, toiletries, coffee bar, extra blankets, 2 fridges, plenty of parking, w/d, & Roku TVs in every room! With properties like this, I’m inclined to never stay in another hotel/lodging facility ever again Rent Margie’s Place!

High school girls get-together

Margie's Place was a perfect place to gather to visit, have meals, sit on the front porch, and relax! There were seven of us who don't see each other often since they live in different parts of Virginia. Some enjoyed walking the dam and the trails at Saluda Shoals Park while others just wanted to sit and read. We are in our mid-70's with various mobility issues so the house is accessible with a few steps but with grab bars where needed. Having 3 bathrooms and bedrooms as well as confortable couches and chairs was great! The kitchen was amazing with lots of dishes, glasses, pots, pans.We would definitely return!

Another Excellent Stay

This is the second time that I have had the opportunity to stay in this home. Hal and Linda (the homeowners) once again ensured that every detail is looked after. I have stayed in several different homes over the past couple of years and this one checks all of the boxes! The kitchen is fully stocked to cook in and there are plenty of dishes and silverware for enjoying meals in the home. There is a wonderful coffee bar with all of the supplies for both drip coffee or Keurig which is a very nice addition for starting the mornings. The beds are comfortable with extra blankets supplied, if needed. There are multiple options for relaxing including a nice library/study room to escape to if you would like some quiet, a wonderful living room with very comfortable furniture and a sunroom. Each of the bedrooms and living/family spaces are equipped with a TV and access to streaming TV services provided by the host. I can go on and on about all of the wonderful things that this home has to offer. I very much look forward to staying here again when in the Columbia area for work.
