"We had originally booked the studio apt for Jan 9 to visit an elderly parent - a family emergency came up and we had to move our visit to as soon as possible - the owner kindly allowed us to transfer the booking to an earlier date, the 5th (the day after my distressed call) at the cottage instead so other family members could stay as well. Owner is not local, so apparently did not know that the cottage was not quite prepared for guests- it was clean, but not stocked and had some repairs going...

"Our family enjoyed all the rooms & amenities at the house. Everything was beautiful. The pool & kayaking were a hit. Touring the Greenbrier bunker was educational for all of us. I emailed the owner about a couple of things & he responded promptly. A great place for all of us!"

"All picture accurately depict the house. The host was very helpful. You can access hiking trails right from the house. Some good restaurants are within a short walk from the house. Oh...and spotless!"

"Although we arrived after dark and left early the next morning, the place was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It's the kind of place I would like to book a weekend getaway and probably will in the future."

"It was really awesome and I liked it-according to my 16 year old son. Peaceful, clean place with plenty of room for myself and 2 children. Also great deck/river view. We would come back again!"

"Everything was amazing. It was very cozy for the 3 of us. I loved the couches and the beds were very comfy. I sleep hot so the light blanket was nice but would recommend bringing extra blankets if you get cold at night.The shower in the big bathroom was a little confusing but we figured it out just pull the bath nozzle. Very nice location easy to get to and easy to find and get back on the interstate."
