Lovely, cozy cottage

My family has been coming to Mt Gretna since my dad was a young boy. This cottage is a gem and perfect for our family in every way. It had everything we needed, decor was completely “Mt Gretna” and best of all it was SPARKLING clean!!

Perfect cottage get away

Our stay in Mount Gretna was absolutely perfect! The cottage was very cute, cozy and clean. It had everything we could have asked for to make our weekend great! The owners were wonderful and very helpful. We hope to return to Mount Gretna again and would definitely stay here.

So cute!

We come up annually for the PA Renaissance Festival, This was a nice change of pace from hotels. A cozy little home a few miles from the faire. It was also walking distance to the Hideaway - one of our favorite restaurants to visit when we're in the area. The tub upstairs is a little small, but totally usable. It's also not very sound proof. You can hear every thing from every room, which made it hard to put a baby down to sleep and still have normal speaking conversations on another floor.

Some minor concerns. Note, it was a very lovely house, once we got in, and we enjoyed our stay there. We arrived at 7:00pm, and it was impossible to figure out which place was the unit. Please, please, put up a visible house number that can be seen from both roads at night. The property uses an older style lock box for the keys, and I did not recognize it as a lock box. It would be helpful to use a label maker to say 'lock box' or tape a sign on it. Another thing did not affect us, but it might affect other people renting the house. I believe the listing said the parking area could hold two cars. I really don't see how you could fit two cars in the space without rearranging the outdoor furniture and being really careful to park the first car before the second car. The final minor thing may not affect most visitors, but it may affect those of us who are starting to have physical limitations. The house is not wheelchair accessible (there are a few steps to the 1st floor, and the 2nd floor has quite a few steps). The house has two floors. The first floor is a living room, dining room, kitchen, and 1/2 bathroom. The second floor has two bedrooms and a full bathroom with a shower. I had packed the suitcases a little full. I could lift them up a few stairs, but I found I could not lift them to the second floor, and I just left them in the living room during our stay. As I said, it was a very lovely. Once we got setup, we enjoyed ourselves.

A Great Getaway!

We were staying down the road in another cottage and booked this so members of our family could be nearby. They thought it was perfect and had everything they needed. Nathan was a great communicator and I would absolutely rent here again. A real find!

Peaceful Beauty

What a charming place to relax and enjoy loved ones. Convenient for concerts, lake swimming, hiking and biking on a rail trail, delicious food (especially ice cream!) and just enjoying the historic town and architecture..

A True Getaway

Everything we needed in this cozy cottage-camp. The hosts were beyond friendly and had everything prepared for us…everything we would need. The community was almost magical. We loved all that Mt. Gretna had to offer. A vacation we will never forget!

This cottage is perfection!!

Our family of 4 stayed for 4 days and had the most wonderful time. The cottage is sparkling clean and immaculately decorated!! A highlight for us was relaxing on the beautiful screened in porch with charming lighting and comfy and clean outdoor furniture. The property owner was a pleasure to do business with, they were welcoming, kind and very prompt with their responses. We can’t wait to come back to this exact cottage someday!!! I can’t recommend this location enough😁😁

Relaxing time away

Just What I Needed

Wedding Weekend Rental

My husband (!!) and I married in Mt Gretna and rented this gorgeous cottage to stay in the weekend of our wedding. Everything was beautiful and perfect. The cozy cottage decor is thoughtful, with lovely old bound books, a record player, and hints of forest, nature, history, and adventure throughout. When we arrived the place was spotless, with careful attention to details. Couldn’t have asked for a cuter house or a better location. We definitely plan to return.

Lovely cottage with fantastic screened porch

Beautifully maintained cottage. Kitchen is up to date. Everything sparkling clean. I liked the condiments, and salt and pepper provided in the kitchen. That makes everything easier. And the extra linens. The washer was very nice. Given covid, the porch was perfect for visiting friends outdoors.
