The house itself had great “bones” but just about every room had things that were either beat up, out of date, not working or even dangerous. To top it all it off my cell phone was probably 3 times as fast and reliable than their internet connection.
It was the middle of winter but we still expected to be able to go out onto the decks and enjoy the views you see in the listing. All decks were marked as closed and dangerous with 4+ feet of snow and broken furniture left unattended to.
In the kitchen, the dishwasher was broken, dishes were chipped and to say it was barely stocked is an understatement. Not even salt or pepper were provided.
The showers and baths were filled with corroded and moldy grout. The only shower/bath on the upper floor had a dingy decorative cloth curtain but nothing plastic to keep water from soaking the mats and floor outside.
One toilet handle would stick and not refill the tank, another had no toilet paper roll/holder.
The downstairs playroom had an Xbox but no way to watch TV. It was also a room that was coated in dog hair and the couch had
Last but not least, the hot water was hot instantly which would normally be great but it was scalding and with a dedicated hot water handle on most sinks it meant you had to be super careful to prevent serious burns
After we sent a number of these complaints to property manager Vacasa, they made one attempt to call and find out more and from there never returned our calls or texts after that to resolve these issues. They were quick to communicate over text but no action was taken other than a 10% credit after checkout.
