Great location about 20-30 minutes outside Leavenworth. We enjoyed the small town feel to Plain, WA. The property was just what we needed for a weekend getaway on a rainy fall weekend. Very comfortable and clean.

Great location in a community, which gave us access to the river. House was clean and comfortable with lots of light! The only negative is that it was really lacking on the supplies. Manual wine opener was so cheap that it hurt my hand and barely worked, could use some trivets and more decent basic supplies. There was only 1 dish towel and no dish rack so we always had a wet hand towel. Little things that would be easy to improve by adding some better quality and have some basic supplies like olive oil. Master bedroom is on a cheap frame...why not buy a used decent bed frame?

Clean rental in great location

We enjoyed the home. Beautiful location with trails for walking and biking. Close to Lake Wenatchee and 30 minutes away from Leavenworth. Great visit to Plain Hardware for coffee, baked goods, farmers market, and gifts which was just 5 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable and quiet

Spacious and comfortable cabin in a beautiful area not far from some great trails for snowshoeing or Nordic skiing and also not far from Leavenworth. Was a great place for our family to gather and relax over winter break.

JUST THE 2 OF US GETAWAY

Place was exactly what we were looking for. very short walk to the river - very easy slope to the river. did not have an ice maker in freezer, or a Keurig - but that was not a big deal. very spacious and clean. truly enjoyed ourselves.

Second time staying here

The river does not disappoint, it’s just a few houses down and behind the community building. The air conditioning was excellent in the house, the upstairs master bed was super comfortable. They give you a starter kit of items such as: laundry pods, trash bags, shampoo and toilet paper; so if you are staying more than 3 days you may need to bring your own. Nice neighborhood and a great back deck.

Dirty- not clean

Lockbox wouldn’t work. Had to call and get the manual box code. Could never get the door to unlock. Master bedroom- dirty sheets. Dog hair and human black hair everywhere. The sheets had not been washed. Front entry had not been vacuumed. Rugs were dirty. Rug in main floor bathroom was so old and dirty. There was a lot of dust bunnies emerging from under the couch. (And I have photos of all of this). Washing machine so old, small- had to wash bedding that night. Pans had scratches and teflon flaking off. Far out remote location. 30 min from town- very windy road. If you get car sick- this is not the place for you. Overall a decent place- owners need to put some money into new bedding, washing machine, rugs and pots. Was way over priced for what we had to do to make it livable.

Nice house

House was good and metall of our needs. Would recommend that anyone going take ear plugs as furnace is noisy and made it difficult for some of us to get to sleep. The road from Leavenworth to the house was very crooked and was dry when we were there but would have been really bad if it had been icy. Overall it worked out well for us.

Nice house, some cleanliness issues

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. There were some cleanliness issues like I found a chunk of hair in the shower and my wife found hair on the bed. Some dust cobwebs too. This may sound like a minor issue but no coffee filters were provided. I had to leave the first night of our stay to go buy coffee filters in Plain. This could be resolved by making it really clear in the listing no coffee filters will be provided and what size and type of coffee filter is needed so I could have purchased this ahead of time. Or just provide coffee filters to your guests. Also we noticed the Ponderosa community the house is in has a pool and hottub, but we were not given access as part of the listing which was a little disappointing. Property management was very responsive via text, which was great.

Great house close to ski options

The house is spacious and bright. We had plenty of room to spread out. That neighborhood is quiet. Some things need fixing- cracked/broken windows. The furnace makes a hum that woke some of us. The upstairs bed was too soft and jiggly for two people. It’s a thick foam topper on an old spring bed. The fridge isn’t regulating properly and froze a lot of our food. There were toys and cups under the couch, and the oven had not been cleaned and made the house smell like garlic. We accidentally left some speakers and paid Vacasa to get them but we are still waiting for news, weeks later.

Nice Big Home in Plain Washinton

Large enough for 3 kids and 4 adults. Lots of snow so entering home somewhat difficult. Beds soft( individual taste). Comforters may need refreshing. Drier did not work. Reported to Vacassa Saturday but not repaired when left Monday Overall we would come back next year

Pleasant get-away!

Quiet and peaceful! Only a block from the river and had a little playground that our son enjoyed! Enjoyed seeing turkey and deer close to the property. Home was well furnished and comfortable. From card and board games to well stocked kitchen and cooking supplies, plus being only 20 minute drive from Leavenworth, this home checked off all the boxes for a perfect stay. Only issue was an outlet and the heater that was not working in The Master Suite. But had plenty of blankets and the gas fireplace in the main floor that was well used. :) Would stay here again.
