Family time

Wedding weekend
We were there for a wedding weekend at Brown Family Homestead, which was located only 1/2 mile from the stay. We enjoyed daily walks down along the lake road. Rehearsal dinner was at the state park and that too was nearby. It was a quiet area even though we were off a main road. We enjoyed the outside space and don’t forget the mosquito spray!

Presidents’ Day Getaway
The cabin was very cozy with plenty of bed space for our large family. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and the bathroom was equally well stocked with clean linens. Our children enjoyed the games and books left by the hosts and the overall atmosphere was very conducive to quality time spent together. The proximity to the lake is very close, even though it is not right on the lakefront, and the setting was very peaceful.

Really great house! There's a great restaurant with take out about 8 minutes down the road if you don't want to cook. The bed was comfy and it's really close to Fish Lake for fishing!

Perfect Getaway
We always enjoy our stay here. It's close to Leavenworth and Stevens Ski Resort (30 minutes to each). It's on a nice quiet street which we enjoy walking with our dog. The main road is a highway so it can be busy at times depending on the weather and time of year. We love that's its close to Lake Wenatchee for sledding and walking around in the snow. It's the perfect cabin with all the amenities you need for a winter getaway!

Natural beauty
This cabin is beautiful and well sized for a get away into the mountains/lake wenatchee. The area is scenic and quiet. Shirley made the rental process as easy as it could possibly be.

Just in case
This was a group of older adults (most in their 70's). Getting to the attic/loft area was exceptionally difficult. Also, the bed I tried to sleep on caved in twice (I am not an obese person). The other room had a queen bed on a cot like frame very near the floor. The couple who stayed in that room froze all night even with the space heater on. Just a suggestion- King beds on bed frames in all the rooms, including the loft. Other than that the property was adorable and clean and the communication with the property manager was superb!

Adorable cottage, perfect escape
The cottage is small but comfortable and exactly as described in the listing. The only thing missing for me is central air or a fan in the bedroom but it is rustic and to be expected.

Immaculate and well stocked
We had a delightful stay. It was not only clean but had all the soaps, spices, games, books for adults and children. Many places to sit both inside and out. We enjoyed our morning coffee outside on the sunroom patio. Also, the location is close to the state park.

Great getaway
This cute house was a great combination of peaceful, away from it all, while being close to so many cool places, for example Lake Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Stevens ski resort, and lots of hiker. The owner was great to work with. She's responded to questions or concerns super fast and clearly. It was great as a single person getaway, but is set up nice for a family with a large yard and a kids room.

Perfect for me!
The cottage was exactly as advertised! It was ideal for me, though it was certainly big enough for a family. It had all the amenities of home. I needed a place to stay for a month and t was an ideal home away from home. The property owner was great and reaponded immediately to all messages. I loved it!

Cozy Home Base for Outdoor Adventures
The cabin had everything we needed for our ski trip - proximity to the resort, comfortable beds, and a nice fire to sit by in the evenings. We even got some bonus hiking in with all the trails close by. We had a great time.

We really enjoyed this cabin and would rent again. It was cozy, cute and very clean. Kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of linens. Kids loved the loft. Quiet neighborhood made for nice walks. Definitely recommend!

Cute house, good location
This is a nice house with a well stocked kitchen and easy access to activities. The road leading to it was plowed, which was a plus with all the snow. Beds are decent, bathroom is fine, washing machine wasn't working but the owner communicated this. Wasn't a big deal on our short trip. Tvs in every bedroom and loving room.

Cute and Cozy Cabin
My family greatly enjoyed staying in this home that exuded a "comfy cabin" vibe. Our kids enjoyed staying in the attic space and thought that the narrow/steep stairs were a lot of fun to go up and down. Everything was very clean and we were quite comfortable throughout our stay. The owner is very communicative and quick to respond to any inquiries that we had. One thing that we would suggest is bringing your own drinking water with you as the well water smells like sulfur. In speaking with neighbors and a nearby gas station attendant - this is a known issue in the area and not something specific to the home itself. Overall, we loved staying here! Thank you for the great experience!

Winter fun for family
We liked this little cozy cottage. All the basics you will need to have a fun wintery trip. 1/2 mile from x country ski trails, lots of games and fully stocked kitchen. Perfect get away.

Such a fun getaway!
What a great cottage getaway! My family was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Very homey, comfortable beds, plenty of TVs, kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and new appliances. My adult daughters especially loved the loft. We will definitely be back.

Everyone enjoyed their stay. It was nice having a pet friendly property. I
It was a nice two days and we had terrific weather. Nice being close to lake Wenatchee. Everything seemed to work well except it seemed like the dishwasher was a little quirky. It was plenty quiet enough for sleeping however I wouldn't recommend the sofa sleeper. They are notorious for being uncomfortable. Very nice gas fireplace. Plenty of towels and linens.

Great location - lots of activities for all - great hikes close by for all abilities - we had group of 20 somethings to 80 something … Place has good supply of everything you need for meal prep and plenty of space for privacy when you are wanting to be alone for quiet reading /reflection. Very clean … exceeded expectations

Fantastic cabin
We had a great stay at this cabin. Close to Lake Wenatchee and a wonderful yard with a patio for grilling with outdoor furniture. AC kept us comfortable in the hot weather. I would definitely stay here again.

First step across the mountains
We stayed in the cabin while our house was being readied for sale. We were so thrilled to find it because she allowed cats! The gas fireplace was our cat's favorite spot on a rocking chair. She had multiple windows where she could bask in the sun and watch robins play. It was a nice walking neighborhood too, where we could enjoy the view of Lake Wenatchee and meet the neighborhood dogs. Highly recommend, as it has everything you need for your stay.

Two Thumbs Up!
This is a wonderful little cabin, located in a fairly secluded area. The street out front is very quiet, although the main road on the corner is quite busy. The upstairs bedroom was perfect for our kids with access to their own television/cable. The only thing we did was throw a blanket over the curtain rods to make it darker for sleeping in come morning. The downstairs was a great hangout space with lots of seating and a great fireplace! The sunporch was a perfect space with a great heater/fireplace. It was wonderful to have the fireplace and the dryer to dry snow clothes after returning home from skiing! But bring your own boot dryer! The cabin is a perfect location - 30 minutes from the ski resort and 30 minutes from Leavenworth. It's also right next to Lake Wenatchee State Park which has a GREAT sledding area for the kids. Shirley was a wonderful host and very responsive. We had no issues. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need, including a few spices. I was very bummed thinking we would not be able to enjoy a Christmas tree for our stay but she had a lovely little tree set up in the corner! It was great to come in with the heat already going and everything ready to go! We will definitly stay here again!!

Quiet Cabin
