This was a great stay for our family during a trip to Austin. We wanted to stay near the city but have quiet evenings. The views on the balconies were so perfect. Quiet mornings drinking coffee on the balcony and evenings in the hot tub relaxing was just what we needed! The home had everything we need and beds were comfy! We will be back the next time we are in the area.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay for our wedding weekend! The house is at a great location and was a very nice property. The host were so accommodating and checked in on us a few times as well! Highly recommend this property for your stay.

Great Home

We stayed here for a wedding we were going to. The house is so clean and comfortable. The lake is dried up, but the park is so nice across street. We enjoyed our stay.

Great stay

Gorgeous views from the front porch and upstairs balcony help make this phenomenal stay a wonderful experience. Add the fireplace and hot tub to the mix and it’s down right fun.

Perfect for weekend getaway

Loved staying in this historic home near the lake with a few old college friends! The property manager was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions. The outdoor porches are amazing!

Perfect place for my wedding party!

My wedding party and I stayed here for a few days leading up to and after the big day. It was perfect - a great amount of space (both personal and shared), amenities, and supplies! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and feeling the Texas summer breeze! Super responsive and accommodating hosts.

Great family home

Very comfortable stay. It was unfortunate that the lake was dry - we found a place recommended by the owner and the property manager to rent stand-up-paddle boards and kayaks about 20 min away. Adult family oriented home.

Had an AMAZING trip!

The house was perfect!! We had such a great stay and totally recommend coming here for a friend gathering! The property was on such a big lot it felt super secluded! The living room upstairs was super cool for game day! The front porch and balcony were definitely two of the highlights!! Would come back in a heartbeat!

Very nice stay out of the city

We stayed during spring break for a few days. Lots of things to do with kids in the area. Hiking was great. House is beautiful and was perfect for our family. Awesome 2nd story balcony to relax on. Unfortunately the lake level is low this year so the view of the lake is missing. Would definitely go back, especially when the lake level is back up.

What an Amazing Vacay!

The property was in excellent condition; the host was super responsive and accommodating. We loved our time on the porches! The activity shed came in clutch with all-size life jackets for our lake day—nothing negative to report here. Stairs were a bit taxing for my older parents, but hey, the house is over 100 years old and built into the side of a hill, so, yeah, it’s worth the climb!

Perfect lake getaway

We had an amazing time at this beautiful lake house! The house had lots of “above and beyond” touches provided by the owner – from kayaks and water floats for us to enjoy at the lake, to brand new grill equipment and a well-stocked kitchen that made it easy to cook for our group of family and friends. They even provided a handy wagon which made heading to the lake a breeze! We spent tons of time on the sprawling front porches overlooking the beautiful lake – a stunning spot for a trip to the lake with family and friends. Would highly recommend.

This house is beautiful and picturesque. The location is ideal and BEAUTIFUL The house has stunning features, most notably the upstairs balcony porch and the downstairs porch that run the entire front length of the home. It was a wonderful place to sit and relax. It would be even better to come in the warmer months to get to enjoy the lake and the added amenities that the owner provides - kayaks, etc…The only issue with the house is that if you have any sort of disability that makes step/stair climbing hard or impossible, this house wouldn't be an option. It being a historic home, there isn’t ADA compliant accessibility. The only room on the bottom floor is the kitchen and one full bathroom. They are both lovely and accommodating, but the main living area, bedrooms and other bath are upstairs. The front entrance has a few steps that don’t have a railing and the steps are uneven and posed a challenge when carrying our luggage up and down. My girlfriends and I came for a girls’ weekend which was great for us. But I couldn’t help thinking how much fun it would be to bring my family back sometime in the summer. However, our 13 year old is totally disabled and it wouldn’t work for us to bring her here. Overall, the house was beautiful and the stay was great. Would be a great visit to come when you can enjoy the lake.
