  • A wonderful setting for you and your family! Located just 6 miles north of Leadville in a private community, Bear's Den has some great amenities to offer for the whole family, whether it be winter skiing or summer hiking on the Continental Divide Trail! Upon entering this cabin, you will surely notice the attention to detail throughout. There is a laundry room for your convenience, an open kitchen with plenty of seating, views of Chicago Ridge, and a private lake in the back! A smart television is connected to the internet, along with a landline phone, and wireless internet throughout the home as well. Bear's Den has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a loft space with 2 additional single beds that can host up to 10 guests, along with a pullout couch. The owner provides firewood! This property is licensed through Lake County Land Use, License #2026-084

Great place for ski trip!

Very close to Ski Cooper, and a very peaceful place to stay at! I would highly recommend the Bear's Den if skiing anywhere nearby to Leadville!

Breathtaking

Just outstanding. We used this wonderful house for a ski vacation at Skin Cooper. Perfect location, beautiful property, and the best fireplace ever. Genuinely amazing.

Son’s wedding weekend

My family really enjoyed the time at Bear’s Den. The beds were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked to the hilt (pots/pans/plates/bowls/cooking utensils/spices/etc). Communication with the host was very helpful and easy. Check in/Check out procedures were very simple and concise.Would definitely recommend this property - especially if you are heading to Ski Cooper.

Beautiful New Place with Sunrise view

Our family loved the decor, cleanliness, location, grill, location, owners and realty company. Very attentive to all our needs and we felt right at home there. No disappointments at all!

Great spot! Only downside was the 2 b-rooms were downstairs and relatively small. Everything else was beautiful. I recommend!

The host was welcoming. They were very helpful with answering questions before and during our trip. We loved that they had a Christmas tree up for the holiday season. The home is a great size and very nice. We liked the layout and the beautiful views. We also liked the cabin architecture. It is a fun and beautiful place.We are giving 4 stars because the home could have been dusted better and also one of the bedroom sheet sets were very dirty. We were able to find clean sheets easily in a cabinet. The dishwasher and laundry both smelled but did the job. We also ran out of toilet paper. Our family really enjoyed the pool table. The kitchen was also very well stocked, which made cooking meals for a family easy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but a few things could have made it better.

Fantastic cabin in the woods

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bear's Den. It exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect spot for our family. Love the open kitchen and living room, with a view over the lake. I could imagine enjoying this in any season. We'll be back!

The property and location were great! The view was outstanding and more than we expected! The centralized location allowed for a few excursions as well as some good hiking. The pillows could use and upgrade, though. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

Beautiful property

The cabin was well maintained and the views off the back deck were fabulous. As mentioned in the listing, plan to bring all necessities with you, including things like a lighter for the fireplace, and dishwasher detergent for more than one load, etc.
