Overall this is a good property. Beautiful location, is close to other cabins, but this is pretty standard with most rentals. Nice cabin, well decorated, would sleep many people (20+) pretty easily, has a fully stocked kitchen, spare blankets, nice hot tub, washer/dryer, TVs, games, decent amount of linens, extra chairs for outside.
A few notes though:
Wifi is spotty, parking is limited. These are pretty standard in the hills though and not really the owners fault.
There are a few things that could use some updating/improving. The beds are really uncomfortable, like really. This was a general complaint from every adult with us. They wouldn’t be beds that most hotels would consider acceptable, to be honest. The couch has also seen better days. Most importantly, the upstairs shower curtain is absolutely gross, stained yellow. Just sort of makes you feel like the whole place is not maintained or clean if a shower curtain can’t be replaced. The other showers have different curtains that won’t stain the same, but probably are just as old. The basement shower doesn’t drain well. Some of the sheets and towels also had some stains and black makeup marks. The grill not cleaned, has a lot of buildup. The fire pit is nice, but in a location where if there’s any wind it’s basically not usable, would be hugely improved upon with a pergola or some sort of barrier from the wind. It also whistles when the gas is turned up.
On a side note to the owner: the upstairs shower floor feels incredibly soft, not sure if it’s just the subfloor under it or water damage, but just wanted you to know.
