Lake house

Fishing Weekend
Dad and grandsons had a great time fishing at the lake, they used both the private dock and state dock catching plenty of fish at both. I enjoyed sitting and taking in the surroundings. Good times had by all.

Peaceful fishing weekend
Booked for a peaceful fishing weekend and got exactly what I needed. Quiet. Right on the lake. Lots of fish in the lake (though they’re smart… 😁). Very well kept and maintained, plenty of space and amenities.

Awesome Cabin On The Lake
This cabin was the perfect place to stay while we were on our 127 yard sale adventure. We spent most of our time on the back porch after a long day of shopping and it was so relaxing! The hot tub is a great touch! We loved the place and would recommend to anyone needing a relaxing getaway. Thank you so much!!

Wonderful Experience
This was my first time booking a trip with Vrbo and starting off with this house and host was a great first outing. The pics are totally accurate and the house was the perfect retreat for our family while we were exploring the Mammoth Cave area. The hosts Sherry and Todd are great and made sure we had an awesome visit. We're hoping to stay here again next year for a return visit.

Family Vacation
This place was perfect for our family vacation. Owners were super easy to communicate with and responded quickly to questions and concerns. Only issue was the barking dogs across the lake, that barked non-stop, day and night. They could only be heard from the master bedroom at night when sleeping, so that didn’t effect the kids at all.

Quiet lake cottage
The cottage was clean, quiet and nice. There was no washer and dryer, probably because of the small septic system. I couldn’t find any firewood for the firepit, make sure you bring your own. We did the bourbon trail, so only spent the evening on the back porch. Overall nice stay.

Almost perfect
An excellent property. We enjoyed the accommodations, had some good games of cornhole on the most challenging set to date, and very Sherry was a great communicator happy to help with spot on recommendations. Only thing missing is a dishwasher, but we were 6 guys who had a great time, and survived without it.

Amazing 😍
We got there later than we anticipated but it was well worth it. When I walked in I felt at home. I grew up in the country as a child. I didn't want to leave to go back the the city limits. Everything was well thought out as as a host. We will be back in the fall but hopefully sooner.

Wonderful time with friends!!
All of us enjoyed staying here. The owner is very thoughtful and nice!! We were centrally located in bourbon trail. Grocery stores are close for supplies. Very nice kitchen!! We had a great stay!!

House was nice , but 3 bedroom was a landing to stairs. Toilet didn’t work the first day they had to empty the holding tank. The lake is very mossy not good for fishing but nice relaxing. We enjoyed our family time 😊

Quiet Getaway
Overall the property is in an ideal and quiet location. Centrally located to many distilleries in Lexington and Bardstown. The kitchen was a bit smaller then I had anticipated but it was well stocked. A couple items worth noting would be for the property owner to label what some of the switches are or how to locate them, the dining area dimmer was behind a curtain (missing the knob) and often we found our selves flipping multiple switches to realize what controlled what and where. Several of the kitchen drawers when pulled out would drop in a manner they essentially just wanted to come out the cabinet. While the unit does have AC, there is a window unit in one bedroom and a stand up unit in another - this unit seized up the last night of our trip, I suspect due the high heat and humidity. The loft area contains two beds but if the doors to the bedroom are shut the loft area will get warm pretty quick. As it is located on a lake, bugs are a part of that. However, several corners were full of spider webs and laced with bugs and obviously not cleaned prior to arrival.

Great lakehouse, quiet location
Had a great stay. 6 of us had plenty of room in house. House was very clean and well stocked. Looked like there were lots of games and puzzles but we spent most of our time outside. Very quiet location and great views of lake. Not much traffic on lake, even on Saturday. Really enjoyed the big porch in the evenings and the fire pit on nights it wasn’t raining. If you are planning on doing much fishing, I recommend taking your boat/kayak or renting the ones at the lake house. Fishing is good out on the lake once you figure out the good spots. We caught a bunch of bluegill, a few bass and some small catfish. We had a great stay and would definitely rent again!

Peaceful and relaxing
We had a great time staying at the cabin. It was well stocked, clean and so peaceful. We honestly spent twice as much time outside as we did inside enjoying the deck, the dock, views and relaxation. Wonderful communication and help from the owner. Looking forward to our next stay.

Bourbon Trail Country Lake House
The Goose Branch Lake House was a great little place to fit our small group of four adults. We were down in the area visiting the Bourbon Trail. Most the the distilleries that we wanted to visit were within about a 35 to 45 minute drive of the house. The house was comfortable and clean. Sherry, the owner, was attentive and quick to respond when we arrived a little early. She also, reached out to share local events happening in the area. We definitely recommend this property!

A quaint and comfortable lakehouse.
This rental is a cozy little lake house. Nothing fancy but if you plan to spend most of your time outdoors then it's a great place to stay. Great view from the porch and even better from the dock.

Beautiful Lake Home
This cottage is adorable. The host was amazing and very easy to communicate with. We visited with our family of seven and enjoyed the large dining table for playing family games. The weather was cold during our visit and we loved curling up on the comfy furniture by the electric fireplace. This would be an amazing family vacation home during warm weather. The views of the lake are exceptional. We hope to visit again!

Family Christmas Break
My family of 5 decided to rent this cabin as a short get away to kick off our Christmas break. We stayed two nights and had a great time. The owner was great and responsive. We loved the huge table and had a great time playing games there. WiFi was strong, which is important to us. This location has a beautiful view of the lake.

Cozy Cottage
While there were only 3 of us, I was very impressed with how well the house is laid out. It could easily accommodate more with efficient use without feeling cramped. The lake was beautiful while enjoying coffee in the morning and the fire pit was equally delightful while enjoying the bourbon we acquired during the day!

Nice Location with easy access to Bourbon Trail
The cottage was perfect for three of us to use as a home base in exploring some of the bourbon trail distilleries. We enjoyed fishing from the dock in the mornings and hanging out on the deck in the evenings. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking.

Wonderful getaway in KY
Two tired teachers, two teenage girls, & a nine year old had the most relaxing & enjoyable stay! The lake house was beautiful! The scenery was heavenly! The host went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The lake is literally in the back yard. Kayaking, fishing, bonfires…Complete peace!

Excellent little getaway place for my family of 6. Clean and everything you need is there. Sherry was super easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. We loved just taking some down time and fishing from the dock. We also received a free frisbee with the house that my 10 year old loved. He accidentally broke his so we had to buy him a new one when we got home. I would definitely go back and stay again.

Terrific Place to stop over for our Retirement Ride
We were on a retirement motorcycle ride coming from Maryland to the Kentucky Bourbon trail. The 5 of us had an absolute wonderful time at the lake house. Sherry set this place up beautifully. The outside was peaceful and we made sure to use that fire pit!!! The inside was very comfortable. Loved the amenities and free wifi too! If we’re heading out in this direction again, we are definitely coming back to the this place.
