The shuffleboard turned out to be a big hit. Parking was adequate, too. The lodge was a bit chilly, and one bedroom was really cold, so much so that we moved into another available room. It will be nice to have the fireplace working, hopefully when we return next year!

Phenomenal cabin leading to an equally phenomenal weekend.

We spent four days at Settlers Lodge and cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Things were very clean and spacious. The lodge is well stocked and has a great open floor plan. Our family plays in a dart league together so the dart board in the basement definitely got some use. It was a nice inclusion to the lodge. One item to note though, the driveway leading up to the cabin is somewhat steep and in inclement weather would likely require AWD or 4WD to make it up to the lodge. This is true of most of hocking hills so it is something to keep in mind when planning a trip here. Overall great location for a great family trip.

Holiday Escape

Absolutely wonderful stay. The house is exactly as described. The kitchen is stocked way better than most properties. Having two washer and two dryers is a nice plus. The hot tub was delightful. They even allow you to use their firewood (even though we had brought plenty of our own). Having stayed in several rental properties and being rental home owners of our own, this house is fantastic.

Perfect Fall vacation!

I got to check an item off my bucket list and that was to rent a cabin in the woods with my family. Camp fires, game playing, peace, love, good food and making memories. The property had everything that we needed and did not disappoint!

This is the second year we have stayed at Settlers lodge and once again it was a great time. We encountered a snafu with the septic tank, yet the owners were incredibly responsive and had it resolved within an hour! Love this spot and would stay again!

First family vacation

When I first started planning our weekend i was worried that i wouldnt be able to find a cabin that could meet our "wants and needs" list but when i found Settler's Lodge it was perfect!!! Im always a little worried that the online pics won't represent the actual location but this one did to a tee. It was exactly as posted and as it showed in all of the pictures. Ive stayed at other cabins that claim to have fully stocked kitchens and got there to find it was not but that is not the case here. The hosts literally have thought of everything And some. It was a home away from home. The only negative from our stay was how hot it was that weekend but everything else was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend the Settler's Lodge for your next family or friends getaway. You will not be disapponited.

Everything we needed

The home was clean, spacious, well maintained, and private. The hot tub and 90-inch shuffle board were a big hit. The kitchen was well equipped, except for a malfunctioning ice maker. Bedrooms were nice, though the mattress in the lower level had seen better days. The boys loved the bunk beds. We would return!

friend group get away

The property is as listed and is absolutely perfect for families/friends interested in a weekend in the woods. we had a 1, 2 and 3 year old as well as 9 adults and 3 dogs. we all fit perfectly and there were plenty of activities/space for everyone. I would caution that if you plan to book this cabin to BRING EVERYTHING. this includes essentials like toilet paper. youre about 40 minutes from the closest grocery store and this proved to be extremely inconvient for our group. this is not in the listing. the other thing of caution is the water. it leaves a slimey residue that feels like you still have soap on. we used bottled water for cooking/drinking. About half our group otped to not shower due to the residue left by the water. Not sure if its d/t a well or some filtration chemicals but left us all a bit uneasy.

Perfect get-away with all the amenities

Great property, nicely secluded, quiet & peaceful. Nice updated features throughout the home, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, ample space for a group of 12 to congregate in the dining, living room and outside backyard area! The owners were responsive and answered questions sent through the app prior to our stay. They responded quickly to help us work through an issue at check-in. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is incredible! Open layout, clean, well stocked with essentials and the extras to help ensure you have a very smoothe weekend. Stayed with 6 kids and 6 adults and everyone had enough space without being on top of each other. Highly recommend!

This was our annual girls/sisters trip and it was amazing! Of all of the places we’ve stayed over the years, this was our favorite!! The house is in a great location and to say it’s beautiful is an understatement! The layout of the house is perfect and it’s HUGE! We really enjoyed the house & all of its amenities. The proximity to the trails was perfect!

Family Trip to Hocking Hills

Great house for a family trip! We loved the open floorplan, hot tub, and fire pit and made great use of all of them. Nice spot in the woods but close to many of the great sights of Hocking Hills.

Great getaway

Perfect family getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at Settlers' Lodge! It was clean, stocked, roomy, and perfect for a large family getaway. The hot tub was clean, the water pressure was great, the air worked well... all the things I was worried about were just fine! I highly recommend staying here. Thank you!
