The place itself is beautiful, very clean, and spacious. Once we were settled, the stay was comfortable overall. However, our arrival experience was challenging. The host was not aware of our arrival, and we were unable to access the property until around 6 PM. The listing description was not very detailed and did not mention that the unit requires walking upstairs. Traveling with a baby and a stroller, this was a major inconvenience, and had we known beforehand, we would not have booked. Additionally, the jacuzzi was not ready on the day of arrival, and we were asked to fill out a separate contract despite already booking through Expedia, which felt unexpected. Overall, the property itself is lovely, but better communication, clearer listing details, and preparation before guest arrival would greatly improve the experience.

Bei der Beschreibung hat man das Gefühl man hätte den Jackpot gewonnen. In Wirklichkeit ist das Apartment schon in die Jahre gekommen. Der Concierge ist unzuverlässig erreichbar. Einkaufsservice ist NICHT kostenlos. Man kann mit dem Taxi fahren (Kosten 30). Kochservice hätte 130 gekostet. Dann hatten wir Bauarbeiten in der Wohnung über uns. Distanz zum schönen Strand war sehr gut. Schöner Urlaub, aber nicht zu dem Preis

Rained all week but didn’t matter!

The villa was perfection and so was the staff! It rained like crazy and there was no better place to be stranded! The view is magical, pool is perfect and the nicest part of the beach is just a few steps away.

Great vacation in Las Terranes

We enjoyed our stay at Ribera Mar. We started each day with a jacuzzi. Directions would be helpful but we figured it out. The Penthouse was very clean and comfortable. We were picked up in Santa Domingo Airport by Guirido who was a very nice man. We used him a lot for rides. Can be expensive though. A trip to the supermarket was $30 US dollars plus tip. Having a translation book would have been helpful as the app only works on Wi-Fi. That being said most everywhere has access to Wi-Fi. Just ask and give them your phone and you’ll be connected. I would suggest renting a buggy or 4 wheeler and bring a backpack. 4 wheelers were $60 a day but worth having for a few days. Driving is a bit crazy but doable. We really enjoyed The Mosquito Bars. There are 3 of them. Well worth a visit. Definitely take the excursion to El Limón Casadas (the waterfalls). Anny was our tour guide and very nice lady. We hiked in and it’s was good. It could get muddy if it was raining but we were lucky. It’s a good deal as lunch is included and very good. Thank you Henry, Judy and Shelbelli and all the staff at Ribera Mar

Beautiful Complex with ocean view

We enjoyed our visit to Las Terrenas. Playa Las Ballenas is amazing! We thought we rented one of the Duplex units with indoor pool though. Please make sure you discuss which unit you are renting with management before hand. The pictures on the site are not clear. Once there we got stuck on the third floor. Not happy about that. When questioned the staff. She did not make an effort to fix the issue, claiming that unit cots more money. Very insulting. We had to walk by an empty unit our entire stay. The unit we thought we have rented. Our compliments to Chef Danni and his staff. As well to the chauffers: Don Fey and Guarito. They kept us safe getting around; They made us feel at home. There were some housekeeping issues: Some resolved, Some did not. The maids do a great job, but were greedy with the tip. We pride on being very appreciated with anybody that take care of us whenever we stay. That attitude not appreciated. We will stay in the complex again, as long as they improve customer service. Nice Condo

We rented 2 condos. Both were spacious and the housekeeping was very good. We found that some small things were missing but the concierge was quick to bring them. The penthouse is older and the fridge was not working well but other than that it was fine. Last night a big party started up next door after midnight. I reported it the next morning - we couldn't do much that night - concierge does not live on site.

The villa is just as described, the staff is friendly and the chef (Danny) cooks delicious meals and caters to your dietary needs. The view from the villa is beyond amazing and the beach is literally a five minute walk. We are definitely returning soon!

Amazing property!!!

This was our first trip to Dominican Republic and the house and staff did not disappoint! Ribera Mar and it’s entire staff were amazing from the time we stepped foot into the residence until the time we left they made us feel special. From arranging taxi services, excursions, and services provided by chef Danny the concierge was very prompt and attentive. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable and we can’t wait to come back for another visit!

Beautiful Oasis

Wonderful apartment with great views. Stephany, who is your on sight host was very helpful. You are a short walk to the beach and pool. Having breakfast prepared every morning is a nice perk. Having a car to go into town makes life easier. Knowing a little Spanish is helpful, but overall a great place to stay. I will be back :)

The view!!!

We were looking for a nice caribbean getaway, just to enjoy the beaches and local food, and this Penthouse with the ocean view was above and beyond what we expected. The penthouse itself was a getaway, beautifully decorated and the staff was very helpful, always attentive to our needs. We ordered the Chef Service for dinner and Danny was great!! he even went grocery shopping with us!! well worth the additional cost since we were new to the Dominican Republic!! the flight into Americas International airport is about 2 hours away but they have great drivers that pick you up at the airport and drive you to the location, we will be back as Arnold said!!
