Muy buena experiencia

Hemos pasado unos días en familia (con perro incluído) geniales. La casa está muy completa, acogedora y el entorno precioso... Muy recomendable. La anfitriona estuvo pendiente de cualquier cosa que pudiésemos necesitar. Repetiremos sin duda.

Truly a unique place!

Our stay (2 adults and three kids (0, 2, 8) was simply amazing, so where to begin. The house is located in an oasis of calm and beautiful mountain surrroundings. You can literally hear a dog bark 3 valleys away and can honestly not remember the last time we experienced a calm like that. It was an experience in itself- amazing. It was honestly a big part og taking the whole vacation into a more mellow gear. The house itself is the perfect combination of the charming spanish style, but with everything modern you need (as a famliy with kids). The design, decoration and inventory all makes you feel like you ARE in Spain, while the internet, dishwasher, tv (with streaming services available), makes for the perfect aid in a hectic family. The crown jewel of the house is the outdoor area and the way the pool and house is connected, making everyone able to relax and/or play at the same time. Also we had amazing dinners outside overlooking the mountains and Las Palmas. Eva the owner, replies to messages with extreme speed and was forthcoming at every single question we had. To emphasize and sum it up I had a feeling that this house would carry some charm, warmth and romantic vibe, so I brought a ring. It took me 1 hour to find the perfect spot after we arrived and since this place is where I proposed to my future wife, it will forever be locked in my memory as an amazing experience. With a house like this, I will never choose a hotel again.

Beautiful rural villa

We had a great week staying here. It's very rural with some tight narrow roads to gain access, but worth the effort. Beautiful views across the valley. Property is not overlooked and you can just enjoy the peace of the countryside. Great outdoors area with super comfy sofa's and a outdoor dining table. Pool was large and plenty big enough for the 4 of us to muck around in. Huge garden area too. WiFi streaming speeds were genuinely impressive for such a rural location. Easy to use smart TV when the kids needed a 30 min relax. It was quite hot in the evening inside the villa, but we were staying in August in very hot +30 conditions. You could leave windows open to get a breeze as all had fly screens on them. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and loved exploring the north of the island.

weekje in de bergen

De villa ligt hoog in de bergen, heel rustig en geen last van buren. Uitrusting van villa en het bed in de master bedroom prima; Temperatuur zwembad 's morgens niet echt warm maar na opwarming door de zon 's middags prima om te zwemmen. De paar laatste honderden meters naar de villa is tricky, heel smal bergweggetje en bidden dat er geen tegenliggers aankomen maar dat went ook heel snel. Een klein probleem bij aankomst maar dat werd heel snel opgelost. Een fijne villa, vooral als je van rust houdt en even weg wilt van het massatoerisme aan de kust.

Tolle Auszeit mitten in der Natur

Wir haben unser Urlaub im Ferienhaus Cá Chispita sehr genossen: das Haus ist sehr geräumig, super ausgestattet und hat alles, was man für Urlaub mit Komfort braucht. Es gab sogar mehrere Kissen in unserschiedlichen Größen, wovon wir sehr gegeistert waren (oft gibt es in Fedienunterkünften nur ein Kissen was zu hoch oder zu flach ist). Das Grundstück ist sehr groß, mit sehr gut gepflegtem Rasen und Obstbäumen. Der Pool war sauber, warm und groß genug für schwimmen und entspannen. Die Gegend ist sehr schön, grün und ruhig. Wir hatten etwas Pech mit dem Wetter: Im Norden des Insels ist es deutlich kühler und regnerischer als im Süden. Wir haben aber trotzdem die Ruhe und tolle Aussichten aus dem Panoramafester im Wohnzimmer sehr genossen und tolle Wanderungen durch malerische Gegend gemacht. Checkin und Checkout war kontaktlos. Eva ist eine sehr hilfreiche Gastgeberin, sie hat auf unsere Fragen immer sehr schnell reagiert und wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt.

Enjoyable Holiday

We had a very enjoyable holiday in Gran Canaria. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The garden and the views are beautiful. The heated pool is lovely, the only downside was that the weather at the beginning of our stay was not good but it did improve and so we could make use of the pool a few times. Eva provided us with lots of information prior to the trip and was very quick to answer questions and sort out any little problem while we were there. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Wonderful stay for family of 5

We enjoyed 12 days in the house in late February with 3 kids, 6, 4 and 1 year old. The house was really well kept and property tidy and interesting for all members to explore and enjoy. We were glad to see that the pool was heated so on sunny days we could enjoy a swim. All necessary equipment was provided and a nice TV with active Netflix account made for cozy evenings for the parents to rest after the kids were put to sleep. We really enjoyed our stay as this area really gives another experience of Gran Canaria as you are much closer to local nature, local culture and can really de-couple yourself from day to day stress and chores :)

A rural retreat

Ca Chispita sits high on the hills ,above San Lorenzo in a rural area of scattered dwellings and small holdings, giving a secluded but not remote location. This position offers magnificent views across the valley and distant views of the coast and Las Palmas. The property sits on a large plot with garden all around. To the rear is a wonderful pool terrace with space for loungers etc and beyond is an area laid to lawn and hedged at the perimeter to guarantee privacy. There is a large area devoted to fruit and ornamental trees to the right of the paved driveway. There are many places to sit and enjoy the peace and calm of this environment The house itself is traditional with wonderful high ceilings ,terracotta tiled floors throughout and traditional wooden doors and shutters. All the rooms are tastefully furnished with an eclectic mix of old pieces and some modern accents. The kitchen is extremely well equipped . Eva and Fernando are first rate hosts providing us with a great deal of useful information prior to travel and great instructions on finding the property. Any minor issues were very quickly resolved. We would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking space ,tranquility and a closeness to a very natural Gran Canaria. Thank you Eva and Fernando for giving us the opportunity to stay in this very special place

Ideal zum entspannen

Ruhig gelegene Villa auf Gran Canaria. Eine gute Entscheidung wenn man dem Trouble in den Küstenorten entgehen will. Gut ausgestattet an Geschirr, leider keinerlei Gewürze oder Ähnliches vorhanden. (Ist in Corona Zeiten vielleicht auch besser so) Wenn es etwas zu bemängeln gäbe: nur ein Badezimmer vorhanden, aber das weiß man ja vor der Buchung bereits.

Beautiful, peaceful house and pool

Just back from 12 days at Ca Chi'spita and we've had a fantastic time. The gated house is in a beautiful, lush green location with garden, orchard and lovely heated pool. Lots of outdoor furniture,BBQ and loungers meant that we ate every meal outside in sunshine or shade as needed. Bedrooms are well-appointed, as is the bathroom, lounge and kitchen, although we were hardly inside. Orange squeezer meant we had lots of lovely fresh juice every day. Comfy, supportive pillows and beds (I have a bad back and had very comfortable sleep here). Rooms do have plug in heaters should you be unlucky with the weather and soon heat up. Highly recommend this property. Fantastic communication with Fernando - gracias and an unexpected clean half-way through our stay all added to our experience. There is lots to do from here - walks, botanical gardens, sea-pools, even the Aquapark is less than an hour a way. Nearest supermarket about 12 minutes down the hill, easy to park and find. The roads in the mountains are steep and winding and sometimes single-track but we found it enjoyable and fun to be driving in such beautiful, green countryside. Gracias por todo!

We had a fantastic time at this beautiful rural cottage. The owners were extremely helpful supplying us with logs for the fire when the weather was quite cold. Any other slight query was dealt with immediately. The cottage had everything inside and out that one could wish for. Fantastic views and extremely peaceful.

Lekkere week op een leuke olek

We zijn hier de eerste week van januari geweest. Het weer was prachtig. We konden zelfs buiten ontbijten. Helaas niet buiten eten 's avonds, want als de zon achter de berg verdween, werd het snel kouder. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien met zelfs een vaatwasser. De keuken heeft voldoende pannen, borden en bestek e.d. De zithoek is daarentegen klein voor 6 volwassen, want er is dan onvoldoende zitgelegenheid. Ook ontbrak een 6e eetkamerstoel. De televisie ontving alleen een tiental commerciele Duitse en Oostenrijkse zenders. De slaapkamers zijn prima, hoewel de slaapkamer met de 2 enkele bedden minder goede matrassen heeft. Het slaapt wel perfect in de 'ouder-slaapkamer'. Het winkeltje in San Lorenzo stelt niet veel voor. Voor een winkel ben je dus al gauw een kwartier onderweg met de auto. Kortom, een goed huis met een paar verbetrpuntjes, voor een lekkere vakantie, weg van het drukke toerisme van Gran Canaria. Zeker een aanrader dus.

Really lovely holiday.

We loved the house! Beds were comfortable and beautifully made. And everything was spotless. The pool area is lovely with plenty of outdoor seating and toys for kids. Both mine were thrilled with playhouse. It was well worth paying for the pool to be heated (this was in January). The shape of the house creates a courtyard area round the pool which means that it is really well sheltered from any wind. Satellite tv is very limited, nearly everything is in German. I would suggest bringing a selection of DVDs if you want to watch tv in the evenings. The wifi is great, fast and efficient, we needed to reset the box when we arrived but even I could manage to try unplugging and plugging back in to get something to work. The contact was good and remained good throughout our stay. When we had one small problem someone was round to fix it (gently point out we were doing it wrong) instantly! The house had no salt/pepper/oil/vinegar/ etc. We had stopped at shops but not bought those assuming there would be basic supplies. We are leaving them now so hopefully they will be here for the next visitors. We did arrive to a bowl filled with fruit (I think from the garden) which was really appreciated. We found the house very difficult to find. It transpired there was quite a simple reason for this. I have the homeaway app on my iPhone. I was using the map on there to find the location. Turns out it is not accurate. At some point my phone ran out of battery and my mum accessed the map through the normal website and there was a completely different tab there that said 'location' it led us here straight away! Basically, do not use the homeaway iPhone app for directions to get here or you will never arrive! The last bit of the drive is a bit rough going but perfectly drivable. Las palmas is around 25 minutes away but we didnt feel inclined to leave the house much. I do have a 1 year old and a 2 year old though so going anywhere is a palaver.
