The property is in a quiet peaceful rural area. The home is lovely and very comfortable. Porch is a wonderful place to spend as much time as you can. Kitchen well stocked with what you might need. Hostess has thought of basically everything. I would be happy if we ever have the chance to stay again.

Happy Accident!

I was just scrolling through listings for some vacation ideas and ran across this gem! Wow! The cabin was amazing, sitting on the dock in the hammocks, kayaking and just relaxing. The host was very responsive and there were no issues at all. We felt all of our stress go away at this beautiful cabin and look forward to another visit in the future! This place was a perfect 10 in our book!

Great cabin

Really wonderful cabin! Manager was very responsive and provided very detailed instructions. Really did include everything that you could ever need and more :) The large privacy gate was very difficult to open due to the weight of it, previous heavy rains, and that it had to roll on sand. My suggestion would be to add paving stones in that area and add handles at the bottom of the front so that 2 people could lift and push. It was massively heavy. That did not affect our enjoyment at all...just a suggestion for improvement since if it were an elderly couple or a group of women, they would have a VERY difficult time opening it. We really appreciated the extra security though as the 'neighborhood' was somewhat sketchy. Had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

Great little place

Fully stocked almost to the point of being too stocked. Lots of themed decorations and a variety of kitchen gear and toddler dishes. Had a great time. Restroom is a jack and Jill so no access from the main living area, which is awkward when both rooms hold sleeping folks.

comfy lake house

The house was spacious, clean and comfortable and the property is well set-up and conducive to having a good time for a small gathering. The amenities included were enjoyable and well maintained. We had a good time fishing off the dock and around the cove.

Great Property!

Such a comfortable welcoming lake house with a beautiful view & amenities for a fun, relaxing weekend. Loved the back porch swing & look forward to returning when weather is warmer to enjoy the kayaks & paddleboards. Wifi worked well & kitchen was well stocked. We also enjoyed the New York Texas Zip Line Adventures...only 20 miles from the cabin. We recommend staying here!

Lovely home

The lovely home was equipped with everything you need and want for a wonderful family vacation. We especially enjoyed the front porch and fire pit areas. And petting the goats next door was a wonderful treat!

I wish this place were mine

Wonderwall was absolutely perfect. From the time of booking, Ashley (the owner) was super fast with communications. The website truly showed every picture of the beautiful property. We chose Wonderwall at random. Usually we go to South Padre but opted for a lakehouse instead. Even though the travel time was longer than going to the beach, the final destination was amazing. The house had everything - comfy blankets everywhere, soft pillows, W/D, every item for cooking (even a blender and keurig!) in the kitchen, plenty of fans, lighting, comfortable couches for lounging in the evenings, easy access to the water, and even 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards. We stayed home for every meal (ate as a family too!), played in the water all day, read on the huge back porch, slept in, fished from the dock. It was a perfect (and much needed) getaway for my family. Lake Palestine is so cool too. The house is in a cove that allows for easy swimming for kids and exploring several miles either direction in kayaks. We were there during the week so only had to share our portion of the lake with a few fishermen in the mornings. Chandler is the closest "big" town (15 minute drive) and has an excellent Brookshire Brothers grocery. If it wasn't so hot, we may have spent more time exploring the nearby zipline park or maybe go into Tyler (30 minutes away) but we just enjoyed not being with people and not worrying about paying attention to the time of the day.

Cool oasis during a very hot summer

Loved this property. We had plenty of shade and a cold AC. Wonderful view of the lake and awesome boat dock. Ashley is a wonderful host and easy to communicate with during our stay.
