"I really like the people that run it ...you can have a laugh and a joke and their professional. I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way. "The lobby, bar and restaurant have an elegant and timeless feel. I loved relaxing on the terrace with a cup of tea and a book. The room was large but my air conditioner didn’t work and the bed felt worn/old. I mentioned it to the desk and they put a mattress topper on the bed which really fixed the issue. "This was a great spot to stay on our first night in Exeter! It's right in the center of town so you're really close to everything. There's also a pub downstairs/next door which was convenient.
