Perfect weekend get away!

This cabin is the ideal location for a fun weekend! Mass in beautiful Wexford, pizza in DeSoto, it’s close to every where. And perfect deck to enjoy the river. It almost felt like we were in a tree house!! The hosts are very welcoming. The accommodations are awesome!

Great view of Mississippi

This was a great place to relax! The location was perfect for driving the Driftless Scenic Byway, picnic, and hike trails with beautiful views. Lansing had a charming downtown with nice shops and restaurants.

Wonderful mini-vacation experience!

My family (wife/child) were looking for a short weekend getaway within a couple hours of where we lived. This place was absolutely perfect! Wonderful river views, close to Lansing if you need anything, and the owners were 5 star! Would highly recommend and will plan to stay again in the future!

Very relaxing stay!

We took our annual guys trip here to enjoy a few adult beverages, relaxation, and played some cards. What a great time we had! The propery was very clean and the owners were very easy to work and communicate with. We will likely be back!

Beautiful view at a clean, convenient property.

This was a terrific property to stay at while visiting the Lansing area. It has wonderful views of the Mississippi River that we enjoyed each morning on the large deck. It was very clean and had a number of conveniences including coffee for my wife, ice for our cooler and a pizza for the kids. We will stay here again.

Our family of 8 loved the property and it fit us VERY well. Everything was in great shape and was fully equipped for all of our needs…which isn’t always the case for our big family! The view of the Mississippi is beautiful and the location provided easy access to Lansing, McGregor and Marquette…all fun little towns. The owners were very accommodating and helpful!

What A View!

Very clean and accommodating. The view is breathtaking with sunsets and sunrises on the porch. Close to Yellow River State Forest, Effigy Mounds, & Pikes Peak State Park where my family and I hiked and kayaked. We WILL be back. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your property.

Great river stay

The property was exactly as pictured. Great view of the river. The hosts were very helpful and responded to us right away. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. Very close to Effigy Mounds were we went hiking - great views there as well. Will stay again.

Beautiful view and surroundings

Beautiful view of the river and surrounding hills, spotlessly clean, and friendly and very responsive owners. Great hiking within 30 minutes at Effigy Mounds National Monument and Yellow River State Forest. Some highway noise from the Great RIver Road directly below the house, and a few long freight trains from the adjacent tracks, but these did not really bother us. Actually enjoyed watching the trains rumble by below us three or four times a day, and did not hear any at night. Good fishing nearby, not only as expected in the Mississippi but in some nearby trout streams. If you are a wine drinker bring corkscrew and wine glasses. There is plenty of glassware, but none designed specifically for wine. All I can say about the listing indicating room for 10 is that it is just the owner saying if you want to crowd ten people into a place with one bathroom and three beds, he has no objection. Obviously is going to be very crowded and not very comfortable. My wife and I would definitely stay again.

Great Stay!

This was a fantastic stay with an amazing view! The property was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials! The location was centralized to many areas of interest and the town of Lansing was just minutes away with a grocery store, convenience store, and resturants. The owner's response to our messages were very quick and they were easy to work with. We would definitely stay again!

The Mighty Mississippi!

Extended family members were originally riding RAGBRAI but once that event canceled, we decided to join together in Iowa and enjoy dipping our toes in the Mississippi despite no bicycles. We, (Me, two adult sons and spouses) booked this cabin and enjoyed the beautiful view, from inside the cabin and out on the porch. The place was clean, updated, stocked well and the owners communicative and responsive. We very much appreciated the opportunity to stay here I would rebook again for a smaller group. We were fortunate to have other family members whom owned a home nearby for the rest of our group. It's most well suited for a small family. The two bedrooms: One for a couple and the other a bunkbed style set up. There are three couches for those who don't mind crashing for a night or two in that style., One couch quite short however. -----We had four adults and an infant the first night , 6 adults and an infant the second night. ----- Ok sleeping arrangements for a couple of nights and for those used to such quick trip travelling arrangements and close quarters Keep in mind doors of the rooms must remain open on warm days to take advantage of the single wall air-conditioner so privacy is not yours if you are looking for that element (we were not) or quiet for those who wish to retire earlier than others ( The infant we had with us) The view is beautiful, and parking open and easy if you are not trailoring a boat or similar. The driveway and turns up may be a bit difficult to navigate for that equipment? So says those in my group that were responsible for the boat. I would return here and recommend to explore the community, spend time at the local coffee shop, (The best) and enjoy the scenery! The hosts were wonderful, the cabin clean and welcoming and as mentioned the view so very pretty!

Amazing view, beautiful cabin

The views from the living space, master bedroom and deck are outstanding. We saw eagles flying at eye level and watched cormorants and blue herons fly over the water below. The sunrise over the river was mesmerizing. The cabin is well appointed, up to date and spotless. The location was very convenient. Our stay was hassle free and very memorable. We will definitely be back.
