"Very nice b and b room with ample parking and ideal location for where we needed to be. Good was excellent especially the full cooked breakfast. The staff were polite and helpful. My only negative was that the tables in the restaurant side could have been cleaned, they were a bit crumby and could have done with a wipe over. But apart from that a very pleasant one night stay."

"Hotel ideally situated just off the A12. But there is no road noise that disturbed our sleep. Room was nice and clean well stocked with tea and coffee, soap, shampoo, hairdryer and iron. Breakfast was very good and kept us topped up for most of the day. Although we didn't eat in the hotel, the menu had enough variety and was decently priced. "The ground floor room was fine, with easy access to the parking area. The shower room was very clean and modern; the bedding was immaculate on a comfortable bed; it was a shame the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. We would have liked a small fridge and a second opening window as the weather was exceedingly hot, but we appreciated the air conditioning. "Situated near the station and at the top of the main drag, this hotel is in dire need of some tlc. They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. The sink does not have a mixer tap, and the hot water is scalding, while there is almost no water pressure for the shower. "Beautiful guest house …very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, lovely and clean, with mini bar …and they little details in the rooms like Disaronno liquor ….a little Italian restaurant situated downstairs. Maldon is a beautiful village, with little shops and restaurants just around the corner, I would also highly recommend Mrs Salisburys for food & service too which is just around the corner on the high street. Parking is also available. "
