This house could be an excellent fit for many groups, but it was not for us. We picked this house because we are a group of two families. Our friends stayed upstairs and everything seemed fine. Our family slept in the basement. Pros: The communication with the property manager was excellent. The upstairs of the house has been redone and is very eclectic and fun. Cons: The layout of the basement was very tricky. From the basement living room, you must walk through the room with twin beds and through the hallway with bunkbeds to get to the room with the queen. Because the house is old there are lots of creeks and the doors are quite loud. So we ended up waking up our children in these two rooms in order to get to our bed. Then I woke everyone up again when I needed to use the restroom in the night. The other con was the large amount of spiders. The welcome book said we may see a spider or two. That was an understatement. We walked into cobwebs just walking into the basement rooms when we first arrived. There was a spider crawling across the queen bed. I sat on the couch in the sunroom and my calf was covered with cobwebs from touching the front part of the couch. Between the issues with the house and the bad weather, we left our trip a day early. When we got home and unpacked, we found two spiders crawling inside two separate pieces of our luggage! If you only need the upstairs or if you don't mind spiders, this is a lovely house with an amazing view.
