The property surrounds we’re lovely, the room is a little out dated but comfortable. I burnt myself turning the hot water off in the shower, because it was leaking. And I battled for the water temperature to stay the same whilst in the shower. The service was lovely and our breakfast was DIVINE as were the wait staff. Overall it was a nice, comfy place to stay. Would be superb for a wedding!!

We had a lovely relaxing time from swimming in the pool, walking around the grounds, spotting Henry the peacock and dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Staff were very attentive, we played pool & table tennis in the games room and were shown around all the amenities. We had a good sleep and up bright and early for breakfast which was excellent. one f the staff came and asked us if they could borrow our granddaughter Eva for a minute as she wanted to show her something. Henrietta the female peacock has 2 babies and Eva got to name them to she was extremely excited. Nice close proximity to Hanging Rock as well. All in all great weekend, thanks heaps Glen Erin. 5 stars.

Such a fabulous place - comfortable bed, lots of space in the room. Dinner was excellent, just wish I had taken a book down to enjoy the relaxed pace

A very nice place to stay.
Very comfortable and spacious units. Slightly dated but extremely clean and bed great. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Really good lounge area, lovely breakfast and l Great amenities to keep you occupied Would definitely go back.

Upon arriving was greeted by friendly staff and informed of where we needed to be and where to go, on entering our room we were greeted by excellent quality room with a view over the main courtyard, the staff were great and rooms excelent The restaurant was a example of excellence with well trained staff and food that was to die for. Will definatly be coming back again .

Property was beautiful and well maintained. The staff in the restaurant were fantastic and friendly.. the food was outstanding and fresh the menu was well thought,Great Chef’s !! The bath rooms were outdated but the room itself was big and the beds were comfortable.The property is a perfect spot for a wedding and a relaxing holiday. Well done to all responsible. We will return

Comfy bed & great view... but cockroaches not nice
Glen Erin was located in a lovely spot, with nice views of the vineyard from the balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable and had a nice sleep. However, the trip did turn a bit sour when we returned from dinner to find a cockroach in our room. The shower could also use some maintenance as the temperate would dramatically change from scorching hot to cold.

We were most pleased that you enjoyed our facilities and that our comfortable beds offered a great sleep. We are of course concerened about the insect in your room as all rooms have been fully sanitised and the exterior has received professional, insecticide treatment prior to re-opening. We will of course follow this up with the pest controller. We are also having our hot water services inspected for any inconsistencies and we thank you for bringing this to our attention. Great weekend getaway
Room was functional and clean, restaurant served very nice food, liked the eggs benedict for breakfast. Views of the vineyard from the room were great and location was very quiet in the evenings. Pool could have done with a bit of a clean, otherwise everything else was great.

Exceptional service and beautiful place
When I booked this hotel I had mentioned in the comments that it was our anniversary and if we could have a nice room. On our arrival we were wished happy anniversary and received a bottle of champagne. The room was amazing and view beautiful. Such a serene place out in nature. Dinner was so good and as I am a coeliac they catered for gluten free. We received a complimentary dessert and the staff had written “Happy anniversary” in chocolate on the plate. Buffet breakfast was included which was also nice. The service here was exceptional and probably the best I have experienced at any hotel. All staff were super helpful, friendly and accomodating. The owners are amazing and you can tell they want every customer to have a good experience. I would definitely recommend this place and give it 10 stars! It totally exceeded my expectations.

Only had an overnight stay here but it seemed that there was plenty to do if we had stayed longer. Breakfast was plentiful but cooked to order eggs would have been a nice touch. Overall enjoyable stay. Only downside was that the wifi didn't work in our room. Curly Flat winery nearby is worth a visit.

Hi Jo Thanks for rating Glen Erin at Lancefield so highly even though your showers were disappointing. In explanation, when we checked the heat pumps today, two out of the bank of three heat pumps had tripped the circuit breakers which sometimes happens with regional Victoria's electricity spikes. Please accept our sincere apologies that your stay was marred by this but we certainly trust that the rest of Glen Erin's services and facilities were up to our usual high standard. We look forward to having you stay with us again and enjoying a much warmer shower. All the very best.

Great place out of Lancefield, to rest or party
Spacious room with balcony and beautiful view. Nice restaurant with great dinner food; adequate breakfast buffet. Pool, exercise, and entertainment rooms, in case you're bored.

The hotel had no record of our Hotels.com reservation. We booked at 10am and arrived at 5pm, check in took half an hour as staff could not find our booking, and were unsure whether they had a clean room available for us. There was a wedding reception at the hotel that evening, which meant we could hear loud music from our room until 11pm. Curtains were not block out blinds, so light from the outside garden shone into our room until thankfully a storm caused a power outage around 2am.

just a quiet place to relax for a few days
the view from our room was very relaxing over looking the vine yards , it was great to see green scenery for a change , the buffet breakfast was excellent with very polite and friendly staff to look after us

Nice hotel, service was okay but not great.
The hotel was lovely and out in the country, and the wine tasting on site was great. The person on reception was working in the restaurant too when we arrived and was very busy and not very helpful. Equally, when we pointed out our bathroom was dirty she immediately moved our room to a clean one, and was much more helpful. Was an okay stay but I'd look at other options in future.

Delightful surprise
Great food, Warm room, hot bath, soft bed. Not bad for accommodation booked from the supermarket car park 10 minutes before arriving. We were driving through the area on our way to Hall's Gap when the heavy rain made us decide to find somewhere to stay rather then continue on in the dark and the wet, so we stopped under the streetlight and used the Hotels.com app to find a room locally. Given that we did not even know the name of the town, it worked out beautifully! The staff welcomed us warmly even though the booking had not come through yet and the whole process was very smoothly handled
