Our stay wasn't a disaster, although it could have been. We were there in winter and the in-ground pool was not properly covered. The cover sagged in the middle and was filled with icy water at least 3 or 4 feet deep. The listing noted that the pool was not fenced, but it should have been properly covered in winter. Our small dog ran onto the cover and promptly sank out of sight. Fortunately, it managed to dog-paddle to the edge, and my wife pulled him to safety. There were other small issues: the location was about 100 yards from a noisy major highway; we couldn't get the gas fireplace to work; the combo coffee/espresso maker lacked instructions; the backyard fence had gaps; and although the rooms were spacious and attractive, the main living area had a cathedral ceiling that made it hard to heat. The property manager tried to help, but the property was just not properly maintained.
