We had a lovely stay at Villa Nature whilst in the area for a family wedding. Chris was incredibly welcoming, the house was perfect and the pool was a welcome cure for the after party hangover!Close enough to shops/restaurants to be able to eat out conveniently, but far enough away to feel remote and quiet.

Perfect spot and hosts for a visit to the Dordogne

Chris and Patrick are perfect hosts. Chris came as soon as we arrived to show us around, and invited us to join them for wine the next day and to discuss our plans and provide help and guidance, which was very helpful and fun. During the 2-week stay, they were available and responsive, but in no way intrusive -- just what you want from your hosts. They are kind, enthusiastic, helpful, and clearly want their guests to have a great experience.The place itself is represented perfectly in the pictures and descriptions. It’s got the charm of the old house it is, but updated nicely. Both inside and outside, it is very relaxing and comfortable. There are two outside areas (in addition to the pool area) to relax, one with lounge chairs, the other with cushioned benches down below by the field. We spent a lovely evening there with our daughter and son in law, eating dinner and talking in the rain (it’s covered). The kitchen is pretty well equipped, though the stove could be better; its four small burners are quite crowded, but this is expected in a small kitchen. Full fridge, small microwave, and everything worked. There was very good hot water for the showers, and the pool and the lounging space was just great. Finally, everything was clean and in good order.Great location for visiting the Dordogne. 5-minute to a great bakery and small grocery, 10 to a large grocery. We don’t feel we could have had a better location.

Charm and character, yet comfortable

Spent a very pleasant five days here, cycling out daily through lovely countryside and villages. Chris was extremely helpful with local knowledge and she and Patrick attended swiftly to any issue. Couze has a good place to hire bikes from, a fine bakery and local produce shop.

Cottage in Lalinde

A lovely stay and great to have the bikes to wiz down to the fab bakery and then an 30 mile bike ride to Bergerac and its environs with a great lunch just approaching the town. Lots of riding following Kamoot trails/ roads . Shame the weather wasn’t so good but a most enjoyable stay nether the less.

Perfect for a family get-together

Beautifully renovated property with everything we needed, in a peaceful location. The swimming pool was a short walk away and very welcome in the hot weather. The hosts, Chris and Patrick were very friendly andwelcoming.

Wonderful

Villa Nature is in a peaceful countryside location but within walking distance of local shops including a bakers and a bar. It is also an easy drive into Lalinde which has a great market on Thursday and lots of shops. The property is very well equipped and the pool is refreshing after a day exploring the countryside around.

Port de Couze: mooi vakantie verblijf!

Mooie vakantie woning. Rustig gelegen. Jammer dat overdekte terras aan achterzijde, ver van de keuken ligt. Bovendien moeilijk bereikbaar wegens trappen zwembad ligt te ver van de woning. Een overdekt terras aan de keuken zou grote meerwaarde geven.

Beautiful location in a lovely area of France

Spacious and peaceful property surrounded by fields and trees, but near to shops and with easy access to many of the wonderful sights and locations in the region. Warm and helpful hosts. Lovely swimming pool. Fantastic weather. Excellent quality fresh food available in local markets. Great holiday overall.

Quiet Hideaway close to attractions

You can't go wrong staying here. We were 2 couples and were very comfortable. The owner, Chris had taken great care in making sure that all the ameniities are there. We did most of our own cooking. Shopping was close by. The salt water pool was welcome during the 30C+ temps. Our hosts Chris and Patrick, who live nearby on the property, were extremely helpful and went beyond the norm to make sure we had everything we needed, as well as providing recommendations on local places to visit. We would love to return!

Lalinde

Beautiful, immaculate property set in a peaceful rural location with the added bonus of a pool. Lalinde was an ideal base with lots of amazing places nearby to explore. Chris and Patrick were great hosts, taking the time to tell us about the area over a glass of wine. Would definitely recommend.... we didn't want to leave!

A great stay with a lot to see and enjoy

We spent two lovely weeks at Villa Nature in Lalinde. The house is perfect to make family vacation. You can visit a lot of interesting things nearby that area - castels, chateaus, old stone villages, beautiful gardens, impressive cliffs and caves and of course interesting local markets. Chris will be very helpfull for recommendations and at the end you will miss several of the topics so that you have to come back ;-). And if you need some recreation from sightseeing you can use the pool with a beautifull view or you can take a walk around the property. We enjoyed a canoe trip on Verzere, too. Chris and Patrick: thanks for beeing your guests - we can highly recommend a stay in Villa nature.

Worth repeating

What can I say about Villa Nature that hasn't already been said by previous guests? We also enjoyed the charming holiday home, tastefully renovated and equipped with every modern comfort, and ideally located for excursions in a region that has a lot to offer. Chris and Patrick gave us a warm welcome, and lots of useful information about the area. They are available to their guests, and at the same time very discreet, a perfect balance. We would book again without hesitation.

Bonnes vacances

Chris and Patrick were lovely hosts helpful but unobtrusive. Lots of great tips on where to go. We arrived late so Chris took us to the shops. Couldn't have been more helpful. House is brilliant and the pictures don't do it justice. All in all a brilliant holiday

Tranquil but not too remote

A Tastefully and sympathetically renovated old cottage, offering good accommodation, and certainly big enough for our group of four, With two bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a kitchen/diner and good sized living room , both with period features. The property is reasonably well equipped, including a dishwasher and washing machine and a variety of kitchen bits/utensils. The kitchen area was fairly compact, but as I don’t go on holiday to create gourmet masterpieces, it was not a problem! A 30 minute round walk to the boulangerie made a good start to every day - perfect for keen croissant consumers. Chris was extremely helpful throughout the process, and gave us plenty of tips and ideas for places to visit, of which there are a great deal especially if you like old châteaux, Many of which are suitable for family visits. All in all, we can recommend! 😁
