Hey Doreen, Sorry to hear that you think our home is outdated. It has brand new flooring (March 2023) and a brand new bathroom (August 2022) as well as a brand new deck and every inch of it was renovated in 2004…with 3,100 square feet of it being a brand new addition. You rented a log cabin and it looks exactly how the pictures depict, so I’m unsure of what you were expecting to see that made the stay four-star worthy.

I am surprised by your comments as we never heard any of this during your stay and we could have rectified a lot of it. As you can see, our reviews here say that our house is immaculate. We hold our home to an extremely high level of cleanliness and even pay our cleaners extra for an added level of detail. Thank you for letting us know about the kitchen ceiling grease and windows. Our house is deep cleaned once a quarter, and those get taken care of then as you can imagine our cleaning fee would be much more expensive if we had our cleaners go to that level of detail between every single guest. Our listing states we have 3 evaporative coolers to use, had you mentioned you were uncomfortable I would have directed you to use them. We’ve never had a complaint about it being too hot, as we are in a very shaded and breezy part by the creek and have 2-3 fans per room. We did notice that the windows were open when you left, which would contribute to the house being hot. On the exterior, the cobwebs get cleaned often but appear overnight. We’ve never had a guest to complain about cobwebs on the exterior as we are in the forest. As for debris on property - in the forest, we have a lot of animals that can get into the trash cans overnight, you are not obligated to pick up any trash. The deck is actually scheduled to be completely replaced in August. Our home is secluded from sight and is impossible to see inside from across the creek without binoculars. We have been on the other side of the creek at night multiple times with the lights on in the house and you would need binoculars in order to see what is going on inside. Almost everyone who stays compliments the Arizona room with all the windows, as it feels like you are dining in nature. Again, this home is in the forest and is meant to be enjoyed as it is in nature. All of the private areas and bedrooms have window coverings, we have no intention of ruining the feel of being in nature by adding window coverings to the Arizona room.
