A great Lakehead cabin!

This is a great property for multiple people. It even has a view of the lake, which was enjoyable with a cup of coffee every morning. Not far from the lake, we enjoyed renting a ski boat, jet skis and a pontoon boat. I highly recommend!

High school Graduation celebration

We asked our daughter where she wanted to go to celebrate her graduation. She chose Shasta we sat and looked at house and she picked this one. Having the lake up was a major plus we were able to walk right down to the water. We absolutely loved the design and decor of the house, you can go from chilling on the deck to watching tv to playing a round of pool or Wii. Major plus each sleeping area had their own bathroom with shower!

Good location, clean, spacious and perfect stay for vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin for our vacation with friends and family! This place was more spacious, cozy and comfortable than we expected from the pictures! It is a 3 level cabin with game room downstairs and kitchen/bedrooms on the second floor and 2 more queen beds in the top loft floor, plus lake views from living room in the morning. For our group of 12 people, this worked out perfectly with so many beds and 3 bathrooms. Kitchen was also nicely stocked up and we had no issues prepping up meals. Easy parking space for 3 or more cars on the property. Nice big TV to watch Netflix and wood fireplaces to keep warm on the first and second floors. We enjoyed pool table, TV and dart games downstairs staying up late night having long conversations. Mark went above and beyond by offering us an extra complimentary day to make up for PG&E outage on the day of our arrival. We found internet password in the welcome book was not updated and we found it from the router but Mark was just a txt away to help. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely stay at this cabin again!

So comfy

Honestly this was one of the most comfortable homes we’ve ever stayed at. We missed one of our nights because we got stuck on the highway when the roads got closed due to a snow storm, so when we finally got home, this cabin just wrapped us up in its arms with comfortable beds and pellet stove. Completely stocked. Loved the pool table. The only recommendation I’d have is stock a snow shovel (unless we couldn’t find it). My husband used the regular shovel to clear the whole driveway, so that was a workout! Thanks Mark!

Family Time

It was a great stay and communication between Mark and myself was fabulous. Also got back to me right away when any question came up. Very accommodating to our family. Would rent again and definitely recommend. Views of the lake and the deck was amazing to sit out on and have our meals. Thanks again for a great stay. First time for us renting a house.

Cozy Tree House Cabin Above Lake Shasta

We enjoyed our stay at Sugarloaf. It was very clean and homey. Furnishings were comfy, the kitchen was stocked with basics and more, the ambiance was updated cabin chic. The owner was very helpful when I noticed the missing ironing board and stove pellets, he sent new ones that arrived within 48 hrs., along with a little gift snack for us. We never did get the satellite to work, but the Roku channel connected to many of our streaming services and the WiFi was good so we had no problem entertaining ourselves when it unexpectedly poured rain for the 1st four days. Really enjoyed that pellet stove! Once the sun came out loved to sit on the front deck. Felt like being in a treehouse above the lake. The owner bent over backwards to get us fishing information in advance. Unfortunately the local Marina was still closed as of May 12th and they told us not to fish or walk on their property. So if you are a fisherman, know that there really aren’t any nearby places to fish off the bank or a pier, and the nearest boat rentals are at Antlers Resort which only has patio boats.

Friendsgiving perfect getaway

The property is super cozy with. 3 Bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, well equipped Kitchen and plenty Bedding , towels for everyone. If you like fishing and has a boat that is a great place for you to take it. The deck has a great view and it is wide enough for gathering, we had our thanksgiving lunch there. Game area with the pool table was a great plus.

Beautiful home

This home was perfect for our family and extended family vacation of 12 people. There were three floors, which allowed for some family members to be on the first level playing pool, darts and cards. The second floor was the main level which had the kitchen and two private bedrooms and was perfect for the older family members and the top floor which was a loft, had three additional queen beds which was perfect for another family. The owner was very responsive when I reached out with questions before and during our stay. We would stay there again and would recommend this home to anyone staying in the area.

Great Cabin

Beautiful and spacious spot for us to stay a long weekend. Easy access to Sugarloaf Dock. Cabin had everything and we loved our time there. Remember to bring your spices, olive oil, etc.

Heating and pellet fireplace didn't work

We really liked the house and area. However we visited in late November when it's very cold at night and neither the pellet fireplace in the living room or the central heating worked. We arrived late the first night and just slept under lots of blankets. The next day we found a large space heater in the basement. That, and setting the central air house fan to circulate only worked fine for the rest of the stay.

Second stay, will be back again!

This was our second stay at this cabin. And we plan to come back again when the lake is fuller! Unfortunately the lake was super low, so our view was just forest and empty lake bed, and it was hazy from the smoke, but not much that we or the owner can do about this. We made the best of it and it was nice to have the space to spread out and relax inside. Mark is responsive and easy to reach as always, kitchen is fully stocked, and the AC is mighty for those hot afternoons. Looking forward to our return one day, hopefully soon!

Family Vacation

The house was clean, comfortable, and in a quiet neighborhood. There was no safe way to access the lake due to the lake being 30% full. However, the property was only a 20-minute drive to the Caverns, and Holiday Harbor where I rented a boat. My favorite part of the house was the ample deck and game room that kept everyone entertained including my 85-year-old father. Overall, we had a fantastic time, despite the lake's water levels being extremely low.

Great house even better communication

Mark was a great host; his communication was excellent and very thorough for checking in and out. His pre-visit instructions were excellent. The house is the best VRBO house we have stayed in - very very clean and well decorated, the pictures don’t do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. You can see the pride of ownership displayed throughout the house. The loft has it’s own separate air conditioning right above the beds, so even though you are upstairs you can sleep comfortably. The house is well insulated for heat and sound, so it was a quiet, cool visit. If there was one thing we would ask for is an ottoman or coffee table in the living room to put this house over the top for a vacation home, but that might be just me. The boat parking cutout on the street is great and the easiest boat parking on the block. There is plenty of parking for cars on the fairly steep driveway. SugarLoaf Launch is very close by and easy to use. Basshole Brews is a great place for dinner get the chicken sandwich or the burger. We can’t wait to visit next year.

Wonderful home right next to the lake

We've been to Shasta a few times in the last year and this was our second time staying at this property. Hands down our favorite place to stay. The location couldn't be better and the house is the perfect set up for two families. Adults had their own rooms and attached bathrooms and the kids stayed in the loft with their own bathroom as well. The downstairs basement was a great place to hang out and play pool in the evening and the deck was great for BBQing and relaxing at night. We never felt like we were tripping over each other. To top it all off, the house has plenty of parking for multiple cars and a large boat trailer. The house was very clean and extremely well stocked. We like to cook on vacation and the kitchen always had everything we needed. Mark, the owner, is also a pleasure to work with. He provides all house information up front with great directions and responds to texts and questions quickly. He has thought of everything. That takes a lot of stress off of our vacation planning! We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place at the lake.
