This was our 2nd time staying here and it did not disappoint. Close enough to attractions and stores, but it feels like your far away due to the peaceful and serene setting. Very relaxing trip in a beautiful home, the house has everything you need for a relaxing comfortable vacation.

We enjoyed our stay very much. There are a few FYIs that we think are important for potential renters to know:1. There is no natural grass for a dog. There is a small patch of turf only. The grass you see in the photos is the neighbor's grass. Important to know if your dog is picky about where they go potty. You can also cross the street and there is a small strip of grass along the swamp area but it is right on the road.2. Comfortable outdoor seating is limited. It's mostly hard wood seating, aside from the tall chairs under the overhang.3. We did notice a few bugs in the house but that is completely normal for waterfont living.We were happy with the stay, the quiet and peaceful location, the host communication and the amenities/water toys.

Clean, pretty, and peaceful

We had such a great visit to this perfect space at Lake Waccamaw! The house had everything we needed, and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the lake. We loved taking in the views from the dock and spotting the many beautiful birds along the canal. We explored Whiteville a bit, too, especially enjoying Piggypies Bakeshop! I can’t recommend Docktails Cabana highly enough!

Docktails is Wonderful!

Docktails exceeded our expectations! Beautiful view from the back 'porch' area and quiet neighborhood. The house is well stocked and clean. We plan to come back to Lake Waccamaw and will MOST CERTAINLY stay at Docktails when we do. Wonderful vacation spot!

Great first trip to the Lake!

This is a very clean classic lake cottage. The outdoor patio space is wonderful. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle board and paddle boat. House was well stocked. The only reason I gave a 3 for listing accuracy is that the second shower was being Remodeled unexpectedly after two major storms, and that was not communicated until after I rented. I feel the listing should have reflected that because I would not have rented a house with one shower. The owners were great to work with and communicated well We were watching Helene but she did thwart our trip. to
