Perfect location

We had a great winter weekend here. The bach was comfortable, cosy and very peaceful - with gorgeous view over the lake. The gas fire warmed the whole place really quickly. Great to be in such a beautiful spot, and only a short drive from Rotorua. And really helpful, friendly communications from Carol. Thanks!

Piece of paradise

The view in pictures captured my heart, and in real life it did not disappoint! The sunrise view is priceless! The bach itself was clean, comfortable, and well layed out for up to 4 visitors. We enjoyed listening to the many birds who visited us. Note that the driveway is steep and the road is windy

This place is Paradise.

This is a second time visiting here and may I say it was just aswesome as the first stay. The place is very clean and well organised. The kayaks and the jetty are the real highlight. Will definitely be back in the future. Paradise.

What a fantastic surprise

We loved this cottage!! Great location on the lake with the most amazing view!! Sunrise was epic but the view was incredible all day! Loved the lakefront location. We hiked the Lake Tarawera trail to the Hot Beach -- LOVED it! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Slice of heaven on Lake Tarawera

Classic kiwi batch with everything you need together with an awesome outlook and direct access to the lake. Unfortunately only two days but with the secluded location and bush surrounds it really felt like we were on holiday! We’ll definitely be back (if we can get a booking! :-)

Stunning surroundings

Such a beautiful location with a quick walk down some stairs and you are lakeside. Clean, tidy accommodation and it was great to have use of kayaks for the lake. I would highly recommend.

Perfect place to stay!

We visited from the US for the Ironman. It’s a shame we were so busy in Taupo during our few days here because we would’ve loved spending more time here relaxing, enjoying the blue water and the kayaks, and sitting on the porch soaking up one of the more beautiful of God’s creations. Communication was great, and we would love to stay here again!

Peaceful Getaway

Such a lovely spot with the most beautiful view over the lake! We thoroughly enjoyed heading down to the lake via the private path. The house suited all our needs, and the hosts were very communicative.

Flyby night

This was my birthday get away on the lake but the cottage hadn’t been opened for airing out as the owners were away. Was difficult to find due to not being able to find the introduction document due to using the Stayz app. I arrived and took a long climb down to the lake at sunset, it was not ‘water front’ as the app led us to believe. If the smell was tolerable we may have enjoyed staying in the ‘classic’ cottage. Thankfully the owner refunded us 2/3rds of the fee for the night we didn’t stay at least.

Paradise

This lake front Bach is amazing. It had everything we needed inside, and the view sitting on the front deck over the lake was sublime. Kayaking on the lake was great fun, and we got some amazing photos from the bottom of the steps at the pontoon. Carol and Neville were so friendly and accommodating. Hopefully we can come back for longer next time.
