Truckee cabin 30 min from Tahoe

The cabin was easy to find and get to, the management company was easy to reach and check-in instructions were simple. The cabin felt clean enough and was spacious. Although extra bath and kitchen towels are needed, and there was trash left in the garage and our bear box was full on arrival so we had to keep trash in the cabin until trash pickup came two days after arriving. The pool/Jacuzzi is not free. It’s like $15 to enter and then $6/person in your group. Not a dealbreaker but definitely a surprise and a bit disappointing. Would I stay again? Yes, especially with a large group. The location was in a quiet neighborhood which is lovely. If you have a loud group keep in mind there is a strict noise policy. We met some neighbors who notified us about bear activity and tried educating us about the trash/ bear box. They were very kind and welcoming. There’s plenty of space for 9-10 adults, or 11-12 if you have kids, and price felt ok for such a large cabin. No pets allowed. Otherwise we had a great stay!

Star Pine

Overall the home was very nice and we feel like it was as pictured. It served our family well while we stayed in town for a wedding. We loved the big table that we could all sit around - and though we didn't have too many meals - it was nice to be able to be together. The neighborhood was nice and really quiet. Enjoyed walking the roads and felt very safe. Though we didn't have time for the amenities - it was a nice option. A few things were a bit of a disappointment... this was a landing place for our family and it would have been nice to have a large TV and comfy couch in the main floor common area so we could have enjoyed a movie or the game together. Also extra bedding for the pullout and extra towels would be nice as well - the only cabinets that looked to have extras were locked. It really needs fans in each room to keep things comfortable - especially in the loft because it gets warm up there. The kitchen was well outfitted, but could use an upgrade in the pans and a few extra paper products would have been nice. It also would be nice to have a few more patio chairs on the front and back deck for morning coffee and for relaxing and enjoying the neighborhood. Overall it was a nice stay and we appreciated having a place for us all.

Great trip for sure!

But bring some extra sheets and towels, Hide a beds not covered that we could find, and really not enough towels for bath and shower. But loved the house, could use some outdoor furniture on the back deck, and the baby gate was really a inconvenience, and hide the high chair! All and all we absolutely loved getting the family together for a beautiful wedding!

Great place for a family vacay!

Our whole family stayed in this house together, all age ranges, and it fit our needs perfectly! The kitchen/living room/dining room are very spacious and made it very comfortable for everyone to hangout. It was very clean and the property managers were very responsive to any questions we had. The location is a short drive to the main part of Truckee. Lots of great restaurants to get easy access to. My only suggestion would be to have more bath towels and kitchen towels available. All in all a great place!

Everything was great, mostly

We were a group of 3 couples and 2 singles and we all had our own very comfortable space, the kitchen and living room were large and had everything we needed, except that the only TV was downstairs so when we wanted to watch a movie together where there isnt much space, we had to bring it up. Communication with the property manager was quick, however our biggest issue was that the people before us completely filled up the trash and it wasnt picked up, and instead of offering to fix it or at the very least waive the pickup fee, they reminded us that "the guest contract states that any trash that doesnt fit in the bin has to be brought to the landfill or you will be charged". The landfill was 20 min away and we were charged $20 to dump our trash there. This should not have been our responsibility, we paid thousands of dollars to stay there and the least they could have done was waive the fee for the trash pickup. The location was good but kind of far from the town, restaurants and ski area. Overall we had a great time, but were not impressed with the trash situation, which showed us that the company's bottom line matters more to them than the customer experience.

Decent rental for the price

For the price it’s definitely good. Very spacious. There is no TV in the living room. 3 of the bedroom TVs are probably the size of a laptop screen. No hot tub on the property, you need to pay $17 per person per day to use the communal hot tub 5min away. Fully stocked kitchen with all kinds of spices, basic essentials and all types of kitchen appliances/gadgets. Whoever cleans the house doesn’t clean under the couch in the game room, the floor was covered in dirt, crusty napkins, and a ton of nerf bullets (we had to vacuum it ourselves as we also have photos). The little town is 15 min away with basic grocery stores and a couple of coffee shops. The Northstar Restort is about 30 min away. Overall the experience was a good one, we were just disappointed about the hot tub and gym or lack therof and wished there were bigger TVs.

Top-Notch Truckee Property

We were very pleased with our recent stay at this property. The house was clean, tastefully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen is large and had sufficient pots and pans to do all your cooking there (which we did). Beds were comfortable, the shades kept out the early morning light, and the heater and fireplace did their job keeping things warm. This property will be on our short list for future stays!

Comfortable stay excellent weather was a bonus!

Place was nice and in good condition. Neighborhood walks had plenty of people saying Hi! Property is as it is shown. Plenty comfortable and lots of books and games available. Note #1 The house could use more eating spoons. #2 Only one dishtowel available.

Beautiful House - Well stocked

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. Our group of family and friends found the accommodations to be well stocked and comfortable. The kids played in the snow for hours out back, giving the parents plenty of quiet time to catch up. The bonus game room came in handy with its sofa bed when the parents sleeping in the loft wanted to sleep in.

We enjoyed our stay but…..

House was well decorated, cozy, and spacious. Excellent for a big family. We had a toddler so it was nice that the furniture in the living room was low with a soft foot rest/coffee table. A plus was that they also had a high chair! We enjoyed our stay but .…. A few downsides were that there were too many stringent rules and I was reminded of them too many times, there was no bath soap, just hand soap, and finally, the outside garbage cans were already full at check in and one of the rules was that any garbage that does not fit in the outside cans must be hauled away by the renter.

Great house for a short getaway!

My friends and I were impressed with how large the house actually was. We had a great time! Our only negative review was that the house had pictures of how things were supposed to be set up but, some things were out of order. It wasn’t a big deal! Also, they only gave us with one roll of kitchen paper. Everything else was great! We used the kitchen to make a Friendsgiving meal! Will definitely come back!

Nice Place

Overall it is great. Only minor complain is that the house doesn't have air conditioning, so it could be too hot during the summer. Would definitely consider renting again in cooler time of the year.

This house it everything we were looking for

This property was a perfect home away from home. The living accommodations were very comfortable with a great kitchen and bedroom layout. Our favorite aspect was the location. We hiked, mountain biked, dined out and went to the parks - and never drove more than 20 minutes. So glad we booked here.

FAMILY SNOW FUN

The place was easy to find. Self contained, we never had to leave the grounds for any reason which was especially helpful during COVID season. Every room was comfortable and very child friendly. I would recommend this and would stay again and again. Lots of snow in the backyard and areas to build snowman and hills to slide down. It was a fun weekend. Oh yeah the kitchen and dinning area was perfect for my family of 12. We were able to sit together and eat all our meals.
