Everything was easy to manage from check in through check out and location was fantastic as it was easy to get to the ski resorts and access food & drinks nearby in Truckee.

Wonderful things about the place. Clean, nicely designed, newish appliances like fridge, stove, and dishwasher. Add a gorgeous TV screen and comfortable seating. Even better, a kitchen with incredible supplies of herbs, utensils, cooking ware. Brilliant! Chris, the property manager, is very responsible, with good communication. I'm sad to also give these details, given the outstanding notes above. **All of which can be fixed for sure.** Some of you might not have minded these things, but we found them difficult. There were mice who seemed to enjoy being in the walls, between bathroom and bedroom, gnawing & scratching intermittently at night. Fall chill driving them in? Maybe. But I'm frustrated because I'm sure others have noticed. Droppings under the bed. I thought this was a bit in my head all week, until I saw the droppings, just outside of where the cleaners vacuuming job. Also some behind TV. I don't think they were inside during our stay. Maybe others have sleep thru it.Also location on map is misleading. It is represented as on some very quiet street, w/ little traffic. Instead, it was a main road through the Tahoe Donner housing area, complete with rush hour traffic (7-9 am, 5-6 pm), many cars going a good 40 miles per hour. The location could be more accurately represented. Also broad large windows with no shades and tremendous light at dawn. Along this theme, blinding light in the bathroom, we brought in a bedroom lamp every night when using the bathroom.

Great place for small group

The lily pad was a great spot to spend Spring break with my wife and son. The 6-year old especially liked the kid-sized bunk in the loft.

Cute and quaint

Very clean and cozy. Parking limited. The card deck is not complete, so playing poker was a challenge. All in all, great place!! Chris is amazing host and very reachable ‼️‼️

Great place to stay in Tahoe Donner

We enjoyed our stay in this rental with close proximity to Tahoe Donner Diwnhill Ski. The place was as pictured. The upper glass divisions between rooms allowed for more natural and brighter light in the space. Due to snow fall we parked farther from the house (in front of the garage) to avoid difficulty leaving the property and/or getting stuck so you just had to be careful walking down the driveway with black ice. Some cobwebs and stains on walls and doors so not quite 5 stars on cleanliness. We lost power briefly while there and contacted property management for advice (flashlights, outdoor grill, gas stove and stove heater could be used). Overall great stay!

Great location and cozy

The location was perfect for Tahoe Donner skiing, and the family room area was very cozy. House and kitchen were well equipped. Only complaints are that it needed a deep clean and the "master queen" room is not a master - no bathroom. Yes, the listing says 1 bathroom, but that was misleading, imo.

Comfortable Cabin

Enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin. It had all amenities that we needed and we even used the bbq grill one night. Great location and short drive to old town Truckee and Donner Memorial State park. We spent most of our days at the lake! We had some really warm days so the fans at house came in handy too. A big thank you to Chris for the last minute option to check in early and for being available to answer other questions. Much gratitude to the owners of Lily Pad for sharing their blessings of this cabin! We made some great family memories during our stay.

A great place to rest in the mountains

This place was a delightful place to rest and recover in after an active day in the forests around Truckee! The only challenge we faced was arriving late on our first night made it challenging to find the place. The number above the garage is the same color as the building, so we didnt actually spot it until the next morning. Besides that it was delightful and we'd be happy to stay there again!

Great Stay!

The place is really great! I could see the driveway being difficult if someone was in the thick of winter, but for us, it was perfect, the house was cozy, but was able to accommodate a bunch of us, and was really well-kept. Good TV, good table, great kitchen And was able to accommodate a family of five easily in the four separate beds

The house was spotless and comfortable. I will warn the driveway gets super icy and is hard to park and walk up. But other than that the house is perfect.

Plow the driveway and sweep the deck

The driveway was a huge liability. It was not plowed completely. I couldn’t get a 4wd f150 in low up it. Icy and slick. So, every time I had to walk up and down I took a significant risk. Almost went down a number of times.

Exactly as expected.

Exactly what was expected. Perfect for what we needed. Only complaint was the neighbors outside lights were on all night and there are skylights so it lit up our room all night which was annoying. Nothing that could be fixed by property owner.

Winter wonderland

Staying at the lily pad after a record Dec. ‘21 snowfall was an unforgettable experience. We loved the coziness of this house, convenience to Truckee and ski areas as well as the Trout Rec. center which has an excellent spa set-up.

Great location and kitchen totally set up

We enjoyed our time and used the fully-stocked kitchen (including needed condiments in fridge). Even saw a buck emerge from under the deck and amble around. While it was hot (80s) when we were there, the fans and open windows did the trick.
