Bernese's Bungalow - Mountain Escape: Dog-Friendly Cabin near Hiking and Golf

Year round fun awaits at Bernese's Bungalow! This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is located in the lower half of Tahoe Donner, only 10 minutes from downtown Truckee and Donner Lake, and 20 minutes to beautiful north Lake Tahoe.

Enter the home through the front door and mud room into the main living space. The great room area offers two sitting areas: one centered on the gas fireplace and another around the flat-screen TV with a DVD player and streaming device. Other highlights include updated hardwood floors, a remodeled kitchen, a dining table that seats 6, and a breakfast bar that seats 4. A back door from the dining space leads to a large, sunny deck, equipped with a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture. Down the hall on the main floor, a shared bath with a bathtub and shower combo and a bedroom are offered. The bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, desk and full size closet.

Upstairs, you'll find the main bedroom floor and an additional bathroom. On opposite sides of the floor, you'll find one king and one queen bedroom, both offering lots of windows and vaulted ceilings, for plenty of natural light. In the middle of the floor is the shared bath with a bathtub and shower combo, and a double sink vanity. Opposite the bathroom is a spacious bunk room with two twin bunks and plenty of space for kids to hang out. This floor is rounded out by a full sized washer and dryer in the laundry room. The garage fits one Subaru or similar size vehicle, and you can access the home with the keypad for easy access during storms.

In an effort to be more eco-friendly, we no longer supply hotel style amenities; 3 and 1 body wash/shampoo is provided. Please refer to the FAQ document for a detailed list of the supplies included in your stay.

There is no AC in this home. To keep the property cool, open the windows and sliders at night to let cool air in, then close the windows, doors, and blinds when you leave for the day.
