Let’s go with the pros of the house first. It is a perfect location. Right on the water in a quiet bay. You can walk to town. It is close to Lake Placid and many of the great things to do up here. The house has enough pots pans glassware and silverware. It has plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and shower essentials. The washer and dryer are convenient. The beds are comfortable and you can sleep quite a few people. It could use a toaster instead of having to use e toaster oven. Now the cons. The cleaning crew did not do a good job cleaning up from the previous renters. Dirt was all over the floors. We had to sweep up before we moved our stuff in. If you have a boat do not drive it down the driveway as there is no way to turnaround There are cobwebs in most corners with bugs in them. The hot tub was fun of leaves and very cloudy with a bad smell. That should be cleaned after each guest with chemicals available to shock it. The WiFi is very weak and they need to add a couple boosters because it is a big house. If you are going to advertise water toys then have them in working order. The peddle board has no roof as in the VRBO picture nor does it have any backs to it. The rudder is a broken off kayak paddle and there is no way to steer it. The paddle boards are chewed up with gouges taken out of them. One kayak is in pretty good shape but the other one has two cracks underneath and almost sank

The Lake House is everything you could imagine and much more. The setting, the water, the wildlife, the stars…we could go on and on. It wasn’t our first time and won’t be our last. The hosts are spot on with everything. Bravo!!!

Beautiful view - Until you get inside

We were so looking forward to our annual ADK trip with our family and this house listing appeared to check off all the boxes. The view from the driveway & the dock does not disappoint. Sadly this all changed when we went inside. The things they claimed to have for use on the lake were not there. There was only 1 kayak and it was in pretty bad shape, the peddle boat did not have any backs so it was unusable, and the SUP boards were so beat up I was afraid to use them. Emailed hosts immediately and the next day they had their maintenance person bring us his personal fishing kayak, not the same as a recreational one. We would have brought our own from home had the listing not stated the house came with water toys. The basement bathroom smelled of sewage and the basement can use a dehumidifier, the BBQ literally caught fire, the garbage was overflowing from the previous guests and raccoons got into it so we had to clean it up in order to keep the vermin out, and last but not least there were no ceiling fans in the house, other than the decorative one in the loft space, and the 2 box fans there didn't work. I emailed the owners throughout our stay in the hopes our concerns would be validated, sadly that did not happen. I am leaving this review in the hope that others will be aware or that the hosts make changes to the accommodations &/or listing so that it at least reflects what is really there.

A beautiful peaceful property. We are grateful for lots of great amenities . The hot tub was amazing. Washer and dryer a plus. Great location- So many things to do in the area. Hosts were clear and concise in their instructions. We had a wonderful three generation family vacation!

Snowy Friendsgiving Weekend

We stayed here with our friends (two couples, three kids) for Thanksgiving weekend. The house was just gorgeous. It snowed the whole weekend, and sitting in the warm living room looking out upon the scenery couldn’t have been more idyllic. The house is huge. The older kids had a great time in the lower level twin bedroom rooms. The youngest stayed in the loft next to her parents upstairs, and we stayed in the main level. The house is so cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with pans and good knives (a pleasant surprise in a rental!). The grill and jacuzzi worked well. It’s a five minute drive to a grocery store, liquor store, and other conveniences. Lake place is about a twenty minute easy drive. We hope to come back!

Love the Lake!

Once again we had an amazing vacation on Lake Flower. We could have just hung on the deck all week and enjoyed the beautiful scenery! We noticed some improvements and really appreciated how well stocked the house was.

Perfect location

Wonderful lakefront home on such a peaceful lake. Very quiet. Plenty of room for 8 people. We could walk to town and browse the shops. Brought our boats and toured up the locks. Guys went fishing. I kayaked every morning. House has everything you would need. Easy entry and easy checkout. Definitely would rent again! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Relaxing stay at saranac lake

My family and I enjoyed the comforts of home here. The house is cozy and the views of Saranac Lake from the living room windows provide endless entertainment, for even the littlest guest (our 10 month old). We appreciated the hot tub for soaking after climbing a 46er, walking to the local farmers market, paddle boarding and fishing.
