Charming Canal-Front Retreat – Perfect for a Relaxing Family Getaway!

We had such a wonderful weekend at this well-appointed 3-bedroom home in Lake Placid, FL! Nestled on a spacious half-acre lot along a peaceful canal leading to Lake Huntley, the property offered the perfect balance of relaxation and outdoor fun.The home itself is charming, with tasteful decor and all the essentials provided for a comfortable stay — it truly felt like a home away from home. My two 14-year-old boys especially enjoyed spending time on the dock and taking the john boat out on the canal. They even managed to catch a couple of bass!One of the unique highlights of the property was the beautiful tropical fruit trees — lychee, jackfruit, and mango — which added a special touch to our stay. While the fruits weren’t quite ripe during our visit, we gathered a few to bring home and are eagerly waiting for them to sweeten up!All in all, this was a fantastic getaway spot — peaceful, well-equipped, and full of charm. We’d definitely love to return!

12 hours of Sebring race

Just needed a place for a couple nights while attended the 12 Hours of Sebring. Everything was pretty much already booked and pricey, but this one popped up at a decent price and available and it worked out good thank you.

Perfect weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house made us feel right at home. There were so many things to keep the kids occupied (their favorites included a mini pool table and the tree swings!) We spent hours on the lake kayaking and exploring. The lake is very clean, you can tell the people that live on it take great care of it. The four wheeler trails were extensive and so much fun!

Comfortable Beds & Good Location

The beds and linens were very comfortable. The location had easy access. The wildlife included baby gators near the dock and herons across the canal. Plenty of hot water. Since there were no smoke detectors in the bedrooms, gave it a four.

Great time

The owners of this home is amazing. Frank was even there to meet us when we arrived. The next day our tv wasn't working (because I wasn't working it correctly) and Mr. Frank came back and fixed it for us. I have never worked with such great landowners. They answered my emails right away and stayed in contact with us. I HIGHLY recommend them and this home. It is very comfortable and quiet. The grandkids already asked to go back there next summer.

Great place! Great fruit trees, beautiful views, plenty of room. Only negative is that the canal water is very dark, can’t see what’s in the water so we didn’t swim in it. Otherwise the house was very clean with lots of room.

Great getaway

We loved the home. It was a greatcspot on the canal to the lake. My husband enjoyed fishing right off the dock with our grandkids. I got to chill and read. We had a wonderful time.

Home away from home

It was a rainy weekend at the lake, but we were able to take out the kayaks and canoe. There there was a good selection of games to choose from. We were able to comfortably sit around and watch TV together as a family. for a The home was beautiful and loved our stay!

Wedding Weekend

We loved your lake side home. We enjoyed tge huge back yard. It was nice to sit by the lake in the morning with coffee and enjoy all the wildlife. We had Sand Hill cranes in the yard each day. Lots of woodpeckers and other birds. We were in town for a wedding so unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy any boating or fishing. We want to come back when we have more time to enjoy your beautiful home.

Nice lake house

Although an older house it was decorated to theme of the lake very nicely. The view from the porch to the lake was beautiful and the large fire pit area was great. The fishing on the lake wasn't that good for us maybe because a cold front was moving in. Would love to come back again and bring 4-wheelers and ride the trails that are supposed to be close by. Thank you for sharing it on VRBO.

Lovely Lake House

We loved the house it is in a great location with a beautiful big back yard ,a dock for fishing, and all water sports. Inside is very clean with everything we needed and more… A well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and games and puzzles for rainy days. Danielle did a wonderful job with the lake house decor. Frank and Danielle are great hosts. They are very easy to work with and have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Thanks Frank and Danielle ,See you next year !

Great house for families

Found this gem while looking for a place to stay for my grandmother’s 100th birthday. The house was equipped with everything we needed, even high chair for baby and pack crib. We all enjoyed our stay. Very clean and comfortable!

50th Anniversary

Loved the location. Very quiet and secluded yet minuets to everything. Cleaning was okay, and house was fine. Not updated but has a few electronic gadgets that are interesting. Kitchen was very well stocked...thank you very much!!! We'd go back!

Quaint property with all the little details

What a cute property! The owners clearly care about their guests and have provided so many cute details in each room. They have board games, awesome TVs in each room, a pack and play, high chair, life vest for kids 30 lbs and up, a canoe and kayak, and so many more things to help keep the guests entertained and equipped. They were always very prompt in responding to any questions that we had. Look for firewood outback and enjoy the fire pit as the sun goes down. They even have a wii system to entertain the kids. Would highly recommend this property. Thanks for a lovely stay.
