Great amenities

Great house with everything you need for family fun within the resort property. The home was clean and well furnished. For the price I wish the golf cart was included with the rental but worth the extra expense of renting to get the most out of the amenities. Carolina mornings management company was attentive and the check in/out process was a breeze.

Great stay at Rumbling Bald

We all loved this vacation home. The house had everything we needed to cook meals and grill out. There were games in the garage and board games in the house. They give you one night of firewood for free but you need to grab a bundle from the grocery store if you need more. This was our first time to Rumbling Bald and the amenities were perfect for our family. We enjoyed the pools, pickle ball, and lake. We highly recommend renting the golf cart as it is easier to park at the pool area and the kids loved riding in it. The rental company was fast to answer questions and made the process seemless. We highly recommend this home.

Family Vacation

My family and I loved this house more than any other VRBO home we’ve stayed in! We didn’t even need to bring phone chargers or beach towels. That’s a plus!! We as a family would definitely come back especially around the holidays!!

Woods Escape

Really enjoyed our stay at Woods Escape! The property was beautiful, the house was clean and well furnished. We were there in March so we had both cool and warm days. They had drained out a lot of the Lake which was a little disappointing. We went to Buffalo Creek Park, Chimney rock and used all the resort amenities. Chimney rock has an entrance fee. Resort staff were friendly, they are working on the checkin building and entrance road currently. We enjoyed the 6 seater golf cart at the house and riding down to the clubhouse. There was not an additional golf cart fee. We played several games of pickleball and the court reservation was free since we brought our own equipment. We played one round of mini golf and they have horseshoes, cornhole, life size chess/checkers, Sorry, and Candyland available to use. Home came with 10 passes for the resort on lanyards, well organized. Teens loved the ping pong and foosball in the garage. We hung 3 hammocks out back and the small but swift creek was amazing. We used the fire pit a few nights and there was plenty of wood and supplies. Very relaxing and a great house!

Exceeded all expectations

The home is comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need for a short of long stay. The kitchen, bathrooms, and laundryroom were all stocked with paper goods and soaps for our six day stay. The communication was awesome. I will say that we have Verizon and there is no cell coverage at the house, but the Wifi is working very well. We struggled a bit with phone communication as we were here as part of a wedding. Thank you for allowing us to rent your amazing home!

Great family vacation

Loved the house and the resort. Owner/property management showed a lot of attention to detail that added to our stay. We had a lot of fun playing pingpong, having campfires and enjoyed taking the golf cart to play pickleball or mini golf or the Larkins to eat. My daughter in-law said her massage at the spa was the best she ever had. Backyard stream created a nice ambiance. Two bobcat sightings! What a treat! We were never bored. Our only regret was some of our excursions, should have just stayed at the resort. $60/day for golf cart seemed overpriced.

Family Vacation

We all enjoyed the beautiful home of Woods Escape, along with all the amenities! We saw a bear and cub, deer and crawfish (in the water running behind the house. The house was an excellent fit for our family. The only recommendation we have is maybe bigger flashlights for power outages. The little ones loved the putt putt, pool and beach areas, as well as the adults along with access to kayaks and paddle boards.

Family Vacation at the Lake

We had a wonderful time. The house is great, clean and well equipped. The beds were all good and our hosts even supplied some toys, games and books for the little ones. Be careful though, a bear did try to come up onto the deck one morning!

Wonderful stay

This property was beautiful. Our family had a great few days. We even saw a few bears right in the backyard. The property is in a good location making it easy to use the resort amenities or stay home and relax. There was plenty to do on the property which was nice for the rain days we had. The property was nicely cleaned and well taken care of. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Beautiful Property!

We loved this house! It is very neat, modern and provided such a relaxing feeling. Extremely clean. There is a small stream running in the back yard that was perfect. You could sit on the back deck and just listen to the water flow. Easy access roads were a must for us and this worked wonderfully for us.

Great Landing Spot for Adult Family Attending a Cousin's Wedding

20 and 30 somethings loved the interior! Wanted to take the house home with them. Lucky enough to see some black bear. Everything you will need to cook, shower, play, etc - even some toys for the little ones!

Beautiful mountain home in a private setting

The house is beautiful and well furnished. The amenities are many, from the swimming pools to the lake, mini golf and hiking all located on property. Mountain views and wildlife are a bonus.

Amazing stay

We had a great time staying at Woods Escape. It was so nice that we’re already planning a return trip. The home was cozy and welcoming with everything you need. Nestled in the woods give you plenty of privacy if you are looking to getaway from the busy life but all the amenities you need making you feel like your staying at home. Exceeded expectations!

When we saw the house for the first time, we knew we had made a good decision to go with this home. Beautiful home especially with the landscape lighting in the evening. Inside was gorgeous and no detail missed. I was surprised about the creek running nearing the back of the house. My daughters would open their bedroom windows to listen to the creek when in bed. Everyone of us felt like we had our best sleep ever during our stay. The beds are very comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom which was nice for the kids. For the first time ever the kids did not fight over which bedroom they got...they liked them all. The wifi was strong and all the televisions had no pause in the streaming signal meaning no waiting on buffering. The back deck was enjoyable with the propane grill and a separate screened in porch with a dining table and chairs if you prefer to eat outside. The fire pit was amazing which we took advantage of and the swing on the tree was a nice touch in the back yard. We deer visitors in the mornings. I would recommend everyone rent the golf cart. It was nice to jump on the golf cart and drive to the clubhouse in the mornings and exercise or even get a massage which the wife took advantage of. The amenities of this resort made the stay even greater but even without the amenities, the home itself was worth the money and would definitely stay there again if the owners would have us.
