We had a wonderful quick getaway in Lake Lure at Mountain View Retreat. The home was beautiful and the views were stunning. The home was well appointed and equipped with anything you could possibly need during your stay. We appreciate the management being so quick to respond to questions. We can't wait to return.

The house is beautiful, spacious, and has amazing views. We are a family of 10 and it accommodated us easily. The kitchen has everything you could ask for and the billiards table was a hit. If going with a large group take a couple extra towels. The few negatives had nothing to do with the house but with the lake. No jet ski's allowed and you have to pay to go to the beach. Also most things close by 9 p.m.

Place is amazing and the view is incredible! So fun to wake up and just look at the amazing scenery from the balcony. Also anything we needed from the hosts, they were so responsive and helpful. We will be back!

Second time staying at this beautiful property and will return. House is lovely….plenty of space for all, comfortable beds and furniture, great amenities, but the large wall of windows showcasing a spectacular view of the mountains is the best! Also, one of the cleanest VRBOs I’ve rented. Thank you!

Exceeded our expectations. As usual pictures do no justice. Beautiful inside and out! We cannot come up with even the tiniest negative about this property! Very private, very quiet location, yet close enough to anything we wanted to do.

Beautiful house with an amazing view of the mountains. Quick 5 minute drive down to the lake. The kids absolutely loved it and wanted to move in. We saw a bear from the top deck the first morning which was really cool. Only issue we had was the dryer wasn’t heating which was a bit of a problem since we were all given only one set of towels.

First, the home was great! Beautiful, well stocked kitchen (loved the granite countertops), tastefully decorated, comfortable furniture and bedding, lots of room to spread out/have privacy if desired, and wonderful amenities (hot tub, fire pit table, and pool table). But!! the location, decks, and huge wall of windows that allowed us to enjoy THE MOST SPECTACULAR VIEWS was the best!! Would definitely consider renting again!

We can’t thank the owners of our house enough! I think this was one of our best family trips! The house was perfect! We had space to spread out. The owners thought of everything! We planned to cook a lot over our stay, so I brought a few items that I thought they’d never have and …they had it! From a blender to a crockpot, they thought of it all! We packed games and they had them! We will probably rent this one again! Thank you.

Our family of 10 came to visit for Thanksgiving. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. The teens were entertained and we didn't leave but once to go out to dinner. It was nice to relax and enjoy the views without having to leave at all.

I rented three homes for a church group of 22 adults. This was the favorite of all the homes. It was roomy, the playroom was fabulous and has games and a pool table. Also, the extra kitchen in the playroom was nice. The hot tub was perfect. It is really a 4 bedroom home as the "common area" room is a bedroom with closets and a door for privacy. I've had 2 people from my group ask for the information on renting this home for their family in the future - that's how nice it was.

The views are unsurpassed at this property. It’s quiet but nearby the chimney rock and lake lure amenities. The setting is very beautiful and the home itself is very well built. We all had our own space and privacy but we also were able to enjoy the home together. I highly recommend this property!

Our family of 5 spent a wonderful Memorial Day weekend here. The home is beautiful - very clean, beds comfortable, well appointed kitchen, plenty of space. The kids loved the pool table, books and board games. The hot tub was enjoyed by all. Back decks with a beautiful view. WiFi worked flawlessly. We’d love to come back and stay longer next time!
