Amazing stay by the lake!
What a treat this was for a mini girls trip for our friend who is having her first baby soon. Very pleasant accomodations, lots of games, and breathtaking views of lake superior. Will be back when the baby comes! Thanks to the great hosts!

Beautiful Property!!! Amazing Views of Lake Superior.
We were there for a weekend getaway. The home was really gorgeous. The Lake Superior views from the bedroom and the living room were amazing. We were hoping to catch northern lights, which were a miss, but the home and views made up for that. Jason and Misty were really gracious hosts. They left us detailed instructions and recommendations to make our stay comfortable. If you have folks like mine who cannot stay of internet, then look no further. The connection is amazing, fast and reliable. Overall great place to stay and have fun..

Brohemia Trip
Great place for a bunch of buds going to Bohemia. The bunk room is a bit different but we had a blast. It was a nice easy ride back and forth from Mt. Bohemia.

Soothing sounds of the Lake
Our Christmas getaway to the lakeshore in Gay was serene and comfortable. We only stayed overnight, but wished we could stay longer. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped. Living room furniture was comfortable for lake viewing through gorgeous picture windows. We would definitely go back to try the kayaks and just enjoy the beautiful setting.

Great getaway!
My family and i stayed here early November for a relaxing getaway. We really enjoyed the house. The lake was right in our backyard and was located in a good location to explore surrounding areas. We really appreciated the hosts suggestions on places to eat and things to do. The pasties from Louie's fresh market were amazing! We definitely recommend and hope to stay again!

Paradise in the Keweenaw

Beautiful view of the lake
Place was nice with all the accommodations you would need while on vacation. The kitchen had pots and pans, plates, and the refrigerator/freezer had lots of room. Super comfy king sized bed and nice patio area to take in the views of the lake during the day and to stargaze at night!

We enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we really enjoyed using the sauna at the end of long days exploring the area. I liked being in Gay, I felt close to both Copper Harbor and Calumet. I appreciated how quick the hosts responded when I reached out. I would stay here again.

That View!!
My family had the pleasure of staying in this great location. Upon arriving we were enchanted with that gorgeous view of Lake Superior. Our dog loved really enjoyed running around the back yard. After our 10 hour drive, the gas fire on the deck was very relaxing way to spend our evening. The house is located very close to a nice park and small waterfall where the Tobacco River meets Lake Superior. We enjoyed our morning walks in this area with our dog. It was a serene way to start our day. The location is perfect for exploring all of the Keweenaw Peninsula. We appreciated all of the great communication from the owners providing timely check in and check out instructions. We would like to thank Jason and Misty for sharing their place. My family created many wonderful memories here and we look forward to returning in the future.

Great stay and location!
Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean, comfy beds and the view of Lake Superior is amazing! We enjoyed every night out on the deck with a fire. Bob Kauppi next door at the Dockside Campground was really nice, we enjoyed talking with him and visiting his fishing port each night. The people of Gay are great all around. The location was great, we visited Copper Harbor many days and went as far south as Misery Bay. My only complaint is you need bigger coffee cups, there is only one!!! Jason and Misty were super fast in answering any questions. Thank you again for sharing your special place with our family and golden retriever. ❤️

Beautiful Lake Home
Great to place to use for skiing at Mt Bohemia. Very clean house and great setup for a weekend with friends. Sauna works great! The driveway was plowed before we woke up every morning.

Wonderful Location
A big group of us stayed here and we absolutely loved the location. We were able to Ski Mt. Bohemia and go into Houghton. The Gay Bar was right down the road which made a night close to home easy. The views of Lake Superior and amenities were thoroughly enjoyed (sauna and fire pit). It was a little bit small for our group but it worked out. Awesome place to stay and I would recommend this listing to anyone!

Beautiful house with splendid view
This was a perfect house for our Christmas stay in Gay, if you want a quiet place with a beautiful lake view then this is the place. House was clean and very nice . Just a small inconvenience , in winter the second bathroom gets very cold as it’s in ground floor and is pretty much unusable.

Sharad, glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for bringing the downstairs bathroom to our attention. We were not aware of this issue. We will be looking into resolving this. I assume in the past guests may have been using the Sauna that would have created alot of extra heat. Either way we will see what can be done. Thank you Jason

A good place
We enjoyed our stay at your house. The view of Lake Superior was fabulous! We loved the “of the beaten path on the peninsula. The sauna was an added bonus :). The deck was wonderful; also the fire ring by the lake. Thank you!! (A suggestion: another fire extinguisher for near the stove. We did not have a need, but wanted it Nearby just in case ;)

Secluded getaway
We really enjoyed our stay here. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place to do it. Check in was very easy and Misty and Jason were easily available for any questions that we had.

Met our needs
We booked this home later than we normally would and were happy to find it still available. It was clean and had most of what we needed to enjoy our time in the Keweenaw. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck listening to the waves of Lake Superior, daily walks with our dog to the mouth of the Tobacco River, which is just a short walk down the road, and the sauna after a day of hiking or biking. There were a few things that could use replacing, especially given the nightly fee charged. The stove (only 1 burner worked reliably and it smelled strongly of gas each time we turned it or the oven on), the couch which was broken and sagging severely in the middle and multiple patio chairs. It would also be nice if the upstairs bedroom has a place to hang clothes.

Shawn, thank you for your review. We looked into the gas stove and all inighters were in working operation. We will consider an eclectic stove in the future for easy of operations. The couchs did not seem to have any sagging. The deck chairs were on our short list of items that need improving will be getting replaced with a sectional in the spring. We do have a rack in the garage for hanging clothes that could be moved up stairs. It got moved out there bc it was not used offen. Also there are hooks on the back of the door. Thank you Jason

Great time!
We had a lovely time at this property. The views are amazing, and there is so much to see in the area. The house itself was great as well- I was a little apprehensive about the bunk bed situation but the beds were surprisingly comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful View and Great Location
My family of four loved this property! (Aside from the massive mosquito population that covers all of the U.P.). lol Just bring lots of big spray and you'll enjoy every aspect of this cozy stay! The location is great! Easy walking to a beautiful beach, fishing, etc. Not too bad of a drive to most restaurants in the surrounding area! We never got to try the bat but it was always busy! The house was beautiful and the people were great! 10/10 would stay again!

Views and location are amazing! Relaxing upstairs commons are that over looks Lake Superior. Limited parking in the winter, basement bunk room was very cold during our winter visit.

Thank you for your review. We have had up 3 Snowmobile trailers and trucks parked at this location with overflow parked at the trail head next door. We encourage guests to ajust the thermostat to a temperature of there liking. In the future if you need help wit this we can remotely turn the heat up. Thank you

Snowmobile/ski trip paradise!
Came with a group to go skiing at mount Bohemia and also snowmobiling up to copper harbor. Location is great for both! My favorite part of the place was the sauna and amazing WiFi! If I had to critique anything it would be the kitchen drawers were hard to open and close. Overall a great place for a group who wants to be in the snow and have a view of the lake!

Mount Bohemia ski trip
Enjoyed our stay here. The Sauna is awesome after a day on the slopes. Well furnished, but really only suitable for 7 or 8 people at the most. Great communication with the hosts!

Nice family vacation
We enjoyed our stay and the lovely view. Fires by the water, listening to the waves and listening to the waves were the best. As others mentioned, the RV park next door is loud with fireworks and ATVs some nights, but overall not a huge bother. The place was clean and nice for our fam with the open floor plan. The beds were pretty uncomfortable and everything just seems like it’s seen it’s better days. But still great for a vacation cabin feel. The listing is very accurate and the owners are responsive. Beaches are lovely all north toward Lac la Belle. Next time I would stay on the west coast if the peninsula just for the sunset. Happy overall

We purchased this property on the 26th of July. We have all new fresh sheets, towels and have been making some changes. New pics coming soon. As soon as we have an opening in our schedule (late fall) we will be going through the entire property. Thank you

Great view, very clean
We enjoyed our stay here as it was a good location to visit various places in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Very clean upon arrival. Quiet location as we barely heard the campground people on one side or the house on the other side. If you want to get down to the lake, best option is to walk barely 50 yards down the road and use the Tobacco River Park to do so; very scenic there too. Our dogs loved it! Very quick response to any questions we had.

Wonderful place to stay. It's not the fanciest place or beautifully finished place but it has everything you would need. The living room and kitchen are very big and great rooms to entertain yourself with the assortment of games that are already there and the views are top-notch. The only thing that I thought was less than expected was the sleeping situation. The bedroom downstairs really only fits 3 comfortably, but you can fit 5 in there if you double up the lower bunk and the other mattress. Otherwise, you definitely need to sleep on the floor upstairs, and the place does come with 1 air mattress as far as we found. But overall, this is a great place to stay.

Mount Bohemia Base Camp
This was a great home base for 4 adults. It was a 30 minute easy drive to the mountain. It had a beautiful view and a very nice sauna.
