We loved our stay here. Quick, easy walk to beach, beautiful view, communication with owner was easy, maintenance gentleman was very kind. It was perfect! We will definitely rent again when headed to Freeport!

Pros: the location and proximity to the beach and access road was nice. Response of the owner/manager was fast with below concerns. Good sized rooms and plenty of space for a family. Good sized deck with plenty of seating. Con’s: dried food stuck on floors, bathroom tub was dirty with tons of lint or fuzz. Trash cans were full from previous guests who didn’t take it out on trash day. No one came to empty it once they were notified. The grill pictured isn’t what is there. It’s a Traeger which doesn’t dispense the pellets. The pellets bags were soaking wet and swollen anyways. 2 out of 4 stove burners don’t work. Refrigerator doesn’t shut all the way unless you push hard in the bottom. Water softener came apart under the house twice and spewed water everywhere. Septic with large amount of standing sewage in top. No lamps in the bedrooms. Overall, it needs to have a lot of work done to fix all the above issues and it would have potential to be a nice house. I would verify that these issues have been fixed prior to staying here.

Amazing Stay

The house was very well kept and walking distance from the beach. The house provided all things needed for our stay which was amazing. BBQ pits, beach chairs, even a welcome dish with snacks. Check in was so simple and we even received a text during our stay just making sure we found everything and if we had any problems. For sure we will rent here again.

The location of this home is amazing—just steps from the beach! The owner is incredibly responsive and kind, which made the experience even better. The layout of the home is great for families, with plenty of bathrooms so no one feels crowded. I also appreciated the pack n play, toys, and games that weren’t shown in the listing. There are new chairs and tables both upstairs and downstairs, which was a great surprise!That said, I didn’t see many reviews that mentioned the condition of the home, so I want to share that for transparency. The deck has been painted, but there are rusty nails sticking up, so be sure to wear shoes. Some molding was falling off, and the ceiling looked like it might have mold. The fridge didn’t close properly (though the owner was willing to send someone to fix it—I missed the message). The bathrooms and laundry room floor had visible stains and the home overall felt a bit dirty.Each bedroom had ceiling and floor fans, which helped, as the AC didn’t seem to cool the bedrooms well. Water pressure was typical for Galveston, and the tap water tasted salty, but there is a separate water valve near the sink that was better—we still chose to buy bottled water.Overall, we had a great time! The condition of the house was a bit surprising, but the location, layout, and thoughtful touches still make it a solid beach rental—as long as expectations are set accordingly.

We had the most amazing experience, the location is stunning! The host is so thoughtful of guest. The home has too many great qualities to list but one that stood out to me the most was in every room there were fans, ceiling and floor. The beach can be a bit muggy and for someone to consider strong airflow through the house for the comfort of their guest is top tier! The beds were comfortable, rooms sat up nicely for my large family. It was perfect. I will absolutely be back to this property. Many times.

Great time with family

Great Beach Location and spacious home

Our family had a great stay over Christmas.. The location was perfect and the home is more spacious than pictures showed. (Usually it's the other way around.) The host was very responsive to questions or concerns.The house needs maintenance as there are several soft spots in the floor. We had no issues with them. The kitchen is spacious. I found that pots and pans really were not clean and the 2 cookie sheets are small (9 x 7 or smaller) and one was bent. It really depends on what you need. The kitchen could use a deep cleaning of cabinets and appliances.

Perfect location, amazing host communication.

My family and I spent a three night weekend at this house. There were six adults and three children, and we had more than enough beds and room for everyone. The host was extremely responsive and would respond back to my messages within less than an hour. The house is located just steps away from the bridge to the beach. The views were amazing. We got to see the sunrise every morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will return for another vacation at this home.

Beautiful home! Great location!

This location is great. The house is clean and has lots of little extras that made our stay very enjoyable. Cool ac and fans in every bedroom. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of bathrooms for our large group of mostly girls. We stayed in late September so the beach was not too busy and it is very easy access to the beach. It is not front row, but still very good views of the beach. There is a restaurant just a 2 min walk away. I would stay here again.

Perfect Stay

My family really enjoyed our stay at the property. Veer the owner kept immediate communication and response with us our entire stay for any questions we had or help we needed. Lots of space and amenities for the stay, the rental literally had everything we needed and I cooked the entire weeks stay so I was very pleased with all the cookware and appliances. Will definitely book this location again. The owners hospitality made this our best experience thus far. My only recommendations are a few more knives in the kitchen and curtains for the master bedroom balcony doors to keep so much sunlight out for those who like to sleep in

Beautiful property, deck is amazing!

We loved our stay at the beautiful home! Home is large with plenty of room for our group (4 adults and 3 children). Kitchen had everything you would need. Location to the beach was great! Spent lots of time on the deck enjoying the sounds of the waves. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would stay here again on our next trip to Surfside.

Family vacation

Excellent location near the beach, good views from the deck, accommodations were very good. A larger dining room table would have been nice. Bedrooms good and gave plenty of room for the 10 of us. Living area spacious. Loved the outdoor shower to get sand off. We really enjoyed the house, the views, the location.
