Quick trip
It was a very good trip and hotel stay. I didn’t understand the resort fee since nothing other than the room was offered. Overall I was quite satisfied.

Thank you for your review. Our room rates are lowered in the off season. There are bbq on our beach, childs playground, wifi, room amenities.

Resort fees unnecessary during off season
It was a nice stay off season. However, i wish the site would say what's open and not charge resort fees when there is nothing to do. Not even the rooftop bar was open.

Our Rooftop Cabana bar closed after Labor Day which it states on our website. We offer bbq grills, a childs playground, lakefront beach and your room amenities. We lower the rates tremendously in the off season

Had a leak coming out of AC in which we didnt use. Starting happening at 11pm, called front desk and was told we can switch rooms cause there was no maintenance available. This is unacceptable especially when you have young kids. No one should have to move rooms that late at night. Need a maintenance person there or on call daily. Will definitely never be back there.

Sooo, we offered you another room? What a terrible hotel. Maintenance is on until 11pm. You had 4 adults in your room. No children were listed unless you had more guests than what was on your reservation

Excellent location
Excellent location and view from room was perfect! Everything was neat and orderly and there were sufficient towels and general supplies. I was impressed with having dishes provided in the cabinets! I was not impressed with the cleanliness. There were webs around the corners of the beautiful window looking onto the lake and hanging from the ceiling. There was also plenty of dust on the lamp hanging over the table and on the floor behind the bathroom door. Dishes, countertops and coffee pot were sparkling but I don't know if they were actually clean so I cleaned myself. The floor except where I noted behind the bathroom door was dust free.

Very nice property, walking distance to downtown. Great views of the lake. My only complaint was that I didn't get a room upgrade being a platinum member. I ended up paying for an upgrade, so a room was available.

Room was dirty, cob webs, dead bugs smashed on the ceiling and walls, spiders under the counters. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, paint peeling off of the ceiling in the bathroom. Shower heads leaked, had black mold on then as well. Light fixture was broken. Charged $15 a day for an extra person, when we stayed in a room with 3 queen beds. Stayed with 3 adults and 1 child (5 year old). Max Room occupancy is 6 on the website. Upon checkout, front desk employee told me that the manager was to busy to see me, I asked about the extra person charge and some type of discount due to the lack of cleanliness in the room. Manager told the front desk worker that they were to busy to see me. I checked out early on a Monday morning. Only reason that I did not review “terrible” is because the room was cleaned after I complained. However, how do you allow this upon check in without some sort of quality control before. Would not recommend this place.

Peter, We base our prices on two people and extra is charged for adults after that. What you were told was that the Manager was in the middle of a meeting in her office. The manager is the person who sent the Executive Housekeeper and Maintenance to your room in the morning after you sent an email at 8:30pm on your second night. You have changed your story 3 times now. Housekeeping and maintenance took pictures of your room. There was a cobweb in the corner by your door. There was absolutely NO mold in your room. There were no spiders in your room. You are an exaggerator. There was however, paint peeling above the BRAND NEW shower head in your bathroom and was fixed. Anyone reading this review can contact the hotel for the picture of the room while guests were in there. This hotel would not recommend this guest staying at their hotel.

The room was bigger than I expected.The 2 queen beds were very comfortable. The kitchenette was very convenient, it had a toaster, a coffee maker, a microwave, a sink and dishes, cups and silverware for your use. It was very clean when we arrived and when we left our room and came back our beds were made and fresh towels were left in the bathroom. The front desk staff was very accommodating. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night and all we had to do is tell the front desk we wanted the room for another night and within minutes it was done.The cleaning staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

Room was nice but staff very slow at check in as both got tied up with a mistake made with other party. Had line of 8 people to check in and just ignored us. No handicap accessible to beach so $25 a day was a joke for activities. Also advertised food. No food on one day as they said there was a wedding. And no breakfast on weekdays so that was a joke to. Help cleaned room but didn’t give u what u needed like toilet paper. Never will stay there again.

So NO. Your husband walked in the door at 4:52. He was the 4th person in line with one family of 4 at one desk being helped and another gentleman at the other desk. You stayed outside and came inside at 4:02 and were checked in by 4:06. Fourteen minutes from walking in the door to walking out the door is not slow. There are cameras so not sure why you would lie. Not quite sure what you mean by ignore you. You were on line and agents were helping who was in front of them. That's how it works. There is absolutely a handicap way to get to beach. We have a road that actually goes all the way down. You were also offered a wheelchair free of charge if you needed but you declined so obviously not that important. They are housekeepers, not THE HELP and they replaced whatever was used in your room.

Room was updated renovated and very clean, only two little complaints was AC unit was dirty fuzzy and the door needs a gasket. Property is in a great location, beach & small boats available. Walkable to everything. Breakfast onsite was very basic for the price paid.

Gorgeous location
Amazing view out of our lakefront room , clean and very comfortable room . We will definitely come again next year . The only downside is limited parking during busy Labor Day weekend and too far to carry heavy luggage from the parking lot to the lake view rooms up the stairs . But if you pack things into more bags to redistribute the weight and bring them in gradually it can be done . Next time I’ll know . Nothing can be done about that because of the location of the rooms but the view will be worth it . There is a lot to do in the area and great choices of dining options . We enjoyed our stay and hike to come for extended time next year .

This resort is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and always well maintained. The resort has somethings for everyone. There are water crafts to rent like kayaks and paddle boats. There private beach is well maintained also. The pool and other places to to sunbath and cook if you wish. I will definitely return next year!

It’s a nice, clean resort The free water sports was very good for the children and adults Some things recommended: maybe some fire pits, basketball nets, arcade for kids to fun things to do at night Some leaflets in room to tell about food options on site. Like Sunday brunch would be nice to know about We had a large family and getting into a restaurant anytime together was impossible

Walk To It All
Walk to all of lake george activities from Surf Side. Parking becomes tricky on Sat nights when it's crowded. Nobody refilled pool towels. When someone asked at the bar the bartender said "it's not my job." But this employee could have told the manager in charge of over seeing the pool.

Thank you for your review. Pool towels are checked every hour. Unfortunately guests take a lot of towels per person and empty it quite quickly. Not quite sure what happened but the bartender should not be the person to take care of pool towels. They do get very busy up at the bar.

We had no complaints from your room whatsoever. If there was an issue you should have let the hotel know.Not being able to stay on property for the whole day of your checkout is not a reason for a bad review about your room

It was very nice, at least the room we had, BUT very expensive for what you get. If I were to return to the Lake George area, I would try to find accommodations more reasonably priced.

Thank you for your review. We offer 5 buildings on our property all with different price points. Not sure what you mean by "what you get". Surfside offers free kayaks, stand up board and Pedal boats. We are lake front with a beach and also offer a heated pool. We have a playground on the beach as well as BBQ grills. We offer a full view Rooftop Cabana Bar as well as a Lakeview Breakfast Restaurant with outdoor seating. We have a guest laundry facility located by our pool.

As soon we walk to the room smelling very bad of molds I booked premiere room it is the first room on the street and the parking lot so you hear everything, very bad customer service they said we are fully booked we have no rooms

Sir, with all due respect, it is a brand new building. There was and is NO mold. You wanted an upgrade and we were sold out. Its not nice to lie!
