Spacious Hideout Chalet w/gameroom, close to amenities

Wonderful house - Perfect for families

Very kid friendly - air hockey, darts, ping pong and more, board games, videos, many TVs and more Comfy beds and sofas, nice kitchen, large porch with Adirondack chairs perfect for relaxation The hideout is a great community - not everything was open due to COVID-19 but the beaches were great and people were respecting social distancing - didn't use pools but they looked nice, boat rentals, golf, walking trails Highly recommend for all!

Great vacation

We had a great time. The house is spacious, very well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the ping pong, had mini tournaments every night. Beds are very comfy, TV is in every room. Big deck - had most of the meals there. Used the fire pit almost every day (few rainy evenings). Very peaceful. Thank you for lovely stay.

Loved the property

Renting the property couldn’t have been any easier and once we arrived check-in was a breeze. The property itself was exactly what we wanted. The kids loved the game room and my husband and I enjoyed spending time on the deck. The beach, lake and pool were also within walking and bike riding distance. We would definitely rent this property again. Thank you for a great week.

Vacation getaway

House was very nice. 3 levels so we did not feel like we were on top of each other. Plenty of room. Had 3 11 year olds with us and they loved the game room. Would rent this house again. Thank you

Good experience.

The location is very cozy and convenient for all recreational activities in lake Ariel. The host made sure about everything that a party of 10 would need. We enjoyed ourselves a lot on the deck and the game room in the basement. The only downside is the full-size beds. It's hard to get a good sleep if being shared with an adult or child 5+. Some of the mattresses are tilted on one side and become uncomfertable. If you are planning to spend much of your time on the deck, be prepared to clean with a blower (located in the laundry room) and wiping the pollen and dust off of the table (cleaning supply is provided under the kitchen sink).

Nice weekend away

It was a nice family getaway for our family looking to unplug and spend time together playing games, enjoying the firepit and fireplace and playing mini golf and arcade games at the lodge. The queen bed was not comfortable at all, so we ended up sleeping on the couch and the bathrooms didn't look like they were cleaned upon our arrival so I'm not sure what the cleaning fee we paid went towards. In all, it was a positive experience though.

Loved the house!

We had a wonderful stay at the house - it had lots of room, great location and the owner was in touch with us throughout the stay whenever needed. My kids loved the game room. We would love to stay there again!

Great weekend getaway

This was a beautiful home/property. Perfect for a weekend getaway out of the city. We really enjoyed our stay and all of the amenities the house provided. My only complaint would be the distance to the maintenance area where we had to drive our trash/recylces to. It was pretty far from the property and inconvenient.

Very homey feeling

Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your place. We had an amazing time and loved every part of it. The kids enjoyed the game room and the Nintendo was a hit with the adults. Your home is beautiful and has a very homey feel to it. It is well Maintained and stocked with all things you need to feed a large family like ours. The Neighbors are very welcoming my little one enjoyed playing with kids his own age. This was our first time renting from Vrbo and our first time renting from The Hideout. You made our Experience for both very smooth. We will Definitely be looking into renting from you or the area again. Thanks a million. Only a suggestion maybe get some toppers for the mattress.

Cute house, could definitely be cleaner

Finding the property was easy. When Remax called me the day I was arriving. They were very matter factly and rude. Having done this for the first time, a little curtosy goes a long way. All in all, we enjoyed the house.

Plenty to do

We had a grand time. We don’t mind slightly shabby like stained carpets and falling apart cabinets but if you do care about that take a deep look. The house met our needs and we loved all the activities available. The owner and managers were great. They aim to please.

VRBO first timer

This was our first experience using VRBO and I was apprehensive but I would do it again. This property was VERY clean which was important. The kitchen was well stocked, the game room was a hit, there are TVs everywhere, the front deck was great for all of us to hang out and the firepit was a big plus. Within The Hideout, the location was great too - not far from the beach area. The only downside was the pool and kayak rentals were closed but we were able to rent jet skis and boats (on Lake Wallenpaupak - which was only 20 mins away).

Nice home base at the Hideout

The house was overall a nice place to stay. The Hideout itself has a lot of amenities and we enjoyed the pools, beaches, and mini golf. The house has a game room and lots of board games for evenings and rainy days and my kids had a lot of fun with all of them. There are TV's everywhere in the house with fire sticks so lots of entertainment there as well. My kids slept in the basement room, which stayed comfortably cool in the summer. It was very damp and musty down there, but we ran the dehumidifier and emptied it frequently and by the end of our stay the odor was a little better. Getting a dehumidifier that drains when no one is there would help with the odor long term. The rest of the house was comfortable. The portable air conditioners helped cool the house but made a lot of noise so we would run them until bedtime, then rely on fans. The pillows seemed new and the beds were comfortable. It seems as if the house is in transition. There seem to be some nice, newer touches like the TV's and fire sticks and new pillows. The couches still had tags on them and were comfortable as well. The carpet is stained and coming up in places and should probably be replaced, and the upstairs bathroom clearly had not been cleaned before our arrival. The vanities in the bathrooms seem new but the showers are older and dated. Again, thinking the owners are probably working on a gradual refreshing of the place. Overall, this was a good place for a nice, relaxing family vacation. We would stay here again in the future.

Wonderful and well stocked!

The family needed a peaceful place to get away from the city. This place was it! Everyone was nice and helpful and we were surprised to find the place well stocked with plates, utensils, and even cleaning products. Even though we bought our own, we were happy to see the option was there for us.A great place to get away. We will definitely be back.
