We stayed in this room for 2 nights following a 7-night stay in a different room at the same resort. This room has an incredible view and is relatively private. You can hear the surf which is really nice. The unit does not face the direction of the sunset but has beautiful views to the north and west.The unit itself is roomy for 2 people. Some previous reviews complained about the furnishings, but they are typical for the resort and was clean and comfortable. The only comment is the kitchen configuration is a little wonky. No issue cooking but an odd shape leaving some of the counter space unusable.There were no bugs, just friendly birds visiting us on the balcony.The resort itself provides a great location on a sandy beach, two pools (one geared for kids/families and one by the bar/restaurant geared for adults. There are daily activities, pickleball and tennis courts and BBQs. Grocery store across the street for the smaller items you don’t by at Costco.I would definitely come back and stay in this unit againMahalo

Great View and Gorgeous Lanai

This would be a 5 overall but the inside of the unit has very dated furnishings. Very adequate but needs refurbishing to 2025. The bathroom was remodeled but they did not remove the old t bar ceilings, The bedroom curtains are shabby and the bedroom window needs weatherizing. The window might as well be open for any outside noise, waves are nice to hear but it was like the window was open. Kitchen needs remodel from 1980s. Furniture is very tired. Overall it was a nice clean unit but in my option needs significant updating. Lastly some directions on best parking would have been nice, We entered in the main entrance and the first trip from the car to the unit was a shlep but there is a parking area and elevator that are fairly close to the unit and that was not in the instructions.

2.5 Stars: Bugs everywhere, Great View

The room had a great view of the ocean and the beach. The space was large. The bed was comfortable. And the water pressure was great. However… we killed over 100 bugs, and VACASA WAS NOT HELPFUL. They told us to buy our own bug spay and said they could not help nor could their local team. Locals and the resort all said this was NOT normal. 1. The Space is VERY dated. 2. The Kitchen has listed amenities is drawers that can’t be used unless you move the fridge 3. The Kitchen counter was broken, drawer by the microwave was broken. And the floor was sticky. 4. The lighting is cold and has a greenish tint to it. 5.) Vacasa takes no ownership and is completely unhelpful.

Fabulous property! Had the best celebration of my 70th birthday with friends and family! The weather was lovely and the food was great! I would definitely recommend this condo to all of my friends. The hosts were in immediate communication and very helpful. Hope to return soon! Teresa

The views are wonderful, loved spending time on the Lanai. Unit is definitely in need of an update.

Have never stayed north of the Kaanapali strip, enjoyed the area very much. November is a great time to come, lot less crowds everywhere.

The unit needs ALOT of updating

The unit was very clean, very spacious, great view, the bed was very comfortable...BUT it needs ALOT of work! A paint job would do alot, chunks out of the kitchen counter, carpet is awful, pulling away from the tile badly, fridge is very wore out, None of those pictures were put on of course. I would definitely stay at the Aston Kaanapali Shores again but not this unit as it is now.

Great View/Location, But Needs Updating

View was awesome, location is great. Walking distance to many restaurants/stores. Short drive to great shopping and awesome beaches. Resort is great, very well kept. Room is pretty dated but that was expected. Biggest issue is the window in the Master Bed does not close properly, if windy the window whistles from the wind, it also causes room to be warmer than rest of the place. The window also lets in a lot of outside noise, which made for a long night when there was a wedding on the property.

Great Resort for families

Pool was great, Beach was nice and had a natural rock breakwater to keep the waves reasonable for the kids. Room itself was perfect and had a nice view of the beach and ocean with a lanai that was great for a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine.

Dated condo, rough around the edges, only redeeming factor is the view

The view is nice. However the carpet is pulling up, counters are scratched, ants are everywhere. Communication with the host was non existent and the bedding is rough and left imprints on our skin. I would look further afield for something better considering the costs here.

Getaway to paradise

We were pleased with the Aston Kaanapali Shores condos: property was well maintained and laid out for easy accessibility. Our unit had a great view and was very comfortable. It definitely needed new carpet, though.

Beautiful Location and comfortable stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The condo was a bit older but cute, clean, & comfortable! There was plenty of space for us to relax, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen had all the basic necessities, and the balcony view was stunning! The onsite staff was friendly as well. We took advantage of the pool, a couples massage, and the restaurant. It is also directly across the street from a grocery store and some shops! Loved our stay.

Great Resort, Dingy Room.

I’ve stayed at Aston Kaanapali Shores many times and always loved my stay. This time, unfortunately, the experience fell a little short. Our room was old and showing signs of aging. The ceiling lights in the bathroom were loaded with dead bugs and debris, the carpets were dirty and the couch looked totally uninviting to sit on due to over use and lack of cleaning. The view from the room was beautiful, this unit just needs some MAJOR TLC to bring it up to the standard of the other rooms. The grounds are gorgeous, the beach is great. Just a bit of a renovation and this place would be great.

Underwhelming condo

My family and I stayed at this condo in April, and while we loved the resort - the pool was great, the shops, the location, the restaurant was convenient, unfortunately the condo was very underwhelming. The view was fantastic, and we truly were prepared for a dated condo, but what we weren't prepared for was the lack of essential maintenance. The carpets were stained and really could use a good cleaning/replacing. There was a mildew smell that lingered. The tub/shower was only unfortunately able to be used as a shower as there was no drain stopper. The drain in the shower was extremely backed up. We ended up buying drain-o, and even after a full bottle of treatment, I was still standing in about 2 inches of water by the end of my shower. Additionally, the shower curtain rod was broken, and the curtain liner was hung upside down so the magnets were at the top which really didn't provide much coverage. This may sound petty, but we expected everything to be in working order. I also posted a review on vacasa, and unfortunately, I'm still not seeing it which is very disheartening. I'm sorry I can't give this place 5 stars, but want to share our experience and think it's important.

Very poor condition

The ocean views were great but we were not happy at all with the condition of the unit. Carpet dirty, stained, frayed and worn out, electrical tape holding shelf in refrigerator and a lot more..... We took pictures. This is the 3rd time we have stay at this resort and we’re very happy the first 2 times. We made those reservations thru the resort. Units were in much better condition. Totally not worth the $$$ we paid ☹️
