This was the absolute BEST. Exceptional room, fantastic views, beyond our wildest expectations. Our host, Shelly, gaves us excellent tips for our stay and provided us a Maui visit we will never forget. The property itself is right on the beach and everything you need. This place is so awesome...

This is the second time we have stayed in Shelly's condo. Our boys were so happy to be back and picked up like we never left. Coming back made packing really easy since we knew that almost everything that we would need was already there. Chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkel stuff, pool toys, ice packs, ice chests, water bottles, and the list goes on and on. The kitchen is stacked with spices and condiments and many other things you won't have to buy at Safeway. Shelly is one of the best hosts we have worked with. She gives great recommendations and plenty of intel for the property. Her place is very well taken care of and has one of the best views. We will absolutely come back soon, wouldn't consider another place on this side of the island. Thanks for another great visit, Shelly.

we have been to the islands multiple times but this condo was by far the nicest we've ever rented. Shelly was very communicative and helpful, the condo was clean and well stocked. It's steps away from the beach, pool, Duke's and the beach walk. It has an amazing view. We couldn't have asked for more. We'll be back!

Everything was perfect. Great communication got us ready and excited for our trip. Condo was beautiful and just as described. The unit is equipped with everything you want for your stay and then some. We saw Monk Seals, turtles, and whales right in front of the condo. Great for walking on the path or the beach, which was great. Many dining options near by. The owner was quick to respond and our whole experience was to notch. We did not want to leave.

You will not be disappointed!

Shelly’s condo at Honua Kai is amazing! It really is a home away from home. The amenities were great! The condo is exactly as pictured. We enjoyed the lanai, the large bathrooms and even did laundry. I loved waking up every morning and opening the accordion door to see and hear the ocean. It was a great way to start the day!The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. The appliances are very nice. She has an extensive supply of beach gear! We were in the ocean every day and enjoyed using the chairs, umbrella, cooler and snorkel gear.My boys enjoyed playing the PS3 and we watched a few movies. We will be staying here again! Any time I had a question, she was very prompt at texting back. Thank you for an unforgettable time!

Awesome Vacation

Very enjoyable week. The check-in was easy peasy, our room was ready a little early which was great. Parking in the garage and close to the elevator made things easier. The view from the lanai was great day & night. We had an issue with the towel machine but Shelly (owner) came through and fixed the issue very quickly.

Great location, with beautiful view of beach from balcony. Beautiful resort grounds, very well maintained, with access to multiple pools. Beach has excellent snorkeling (snorkeling gear available in condo), including encounters with green turtles. Great information provided by host, smooth check-in, easy accessible parking in garage, and very friendly people everywhere. Beautiful condo, with truly everything provided in. Great food option nearby- teenagers loved walking to food truck area. We had a truly fun, relaxing beach vacation, with beautiful weather each day.

Great time at Honua Kai

This was our second trip to Honua Kai in Kaanapali. The property is excellent and as advertised. Great location and amenities, from the pools, to the beach, Dukes bar and restaurant, poolside service and the excellent ocean views…particularly whale watching from the 7th floor lanai. This unit is well furnished and updated. Well stocked kitchen utensils and appliances for dinning in when preferred. Also a great location to walk up/down the beach or boardwalk steps out the door. Convenient parking as well. Owner Shelly was detailed a pre trip communication which was very helpful. Would highly recommend and definitively go back. Mid January stay was perfect weather and whale watching season

Amazing Condo and Beach

Shelly's condo is amazing and exactly as shown on VRBO. She is super responsive and made the entire trip easy. Great information to local activities and it is the perfect location for relaxation and fun. The area is being rebuilt from the fires, but this location is away from the main destruction. Most of the local community is very receptive to the tourist returning. Everyone we encountered was amazing.

Absolutely Amazing!

We would highly recommend this listing to anyone wanting to visit Maui. Shelly provided so much helpful information/local recommendations prior to our arrival and was a great communicator throughout our stay. Her condo is gorgeous and there is nothing like the early morning or sunset views from her lanai. Shelly's listing provided everything we needed without looking cluttered. The pools, Duke's restaurant, and proximity to the ocean also helped to make great memories during our stay.

A Perfect Week

Great Stay!

My family of 5 stayed here over the July 4th weekend and it was a great stay. The property is well appointed as described, clean, and in great location. There are a multitude of high quality beach accessories in condo as well as some essentials in the kitchen left by the owner and previous guests. The Honua Kai is a beautiful resort and I would highly recommend staying at this property and this condo specifically.

Hoosiers in Paradise

When we arrived the check-in process was so easy. Very prompt and courteous. Once we arrived in our room we were more than impressed. Had just about everything in the condo that you could think of. The view on the Lanai were spectacular. Pools were very nice. Lot's of seating around the pools. Rented a cabana one day and that was very nice. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to all my friends and family.

Honua Kai Resort - May 2023

Shelly is truly an amazing landlord. She provided us with detailed information regarding what to expect when we arrive, where to eat and shop. She also provided us with details about the condo and arrival instructions. Her notes were very detailed and very helpful and made our stay so much more enjoyable. We all had a wonderful time. Her condo is beautiful. Very clean and tastefully presented. The condo looks exactly like the pictures. The furniture is new and the beds were wonderful. Shelly always made herself available to us to answer any questions we had and she replied back very quickly. As an added bonus, she gave us access to her pantry which has a variety of spices that made eating in very pleasurable. We would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend this condo to anyone. You will have a great stay and will not be disappointed.
