Our group of six loved the resort location and the layout of the apartment. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Sadly, during our visit, the Islands had a massive wind/rain storm which messed up our plans with road closures, rock slides, etc. It was a nightmare getting home. But we can only blame Mother Nature for that! We still love Maui and will be back.

Nice location, responsive host & beautiful views

We had a family of 10 stay at Brian's house for 10 nights. The resort grounds are well maintained and have a great view of the ocean. Ample sleeping room for 10 people. A/C in all of the sleeping area came in handy during 80F days. House is well supplied. If your party is 10 adults, then it might feel a bit tight if everyone tried to linger in the family room. We had a mix of adults and teens, and we hung out in the beach or the pool and gathered back in the house to hit the bed. Would highly recommend based on host's responsiveness and location of the resort.

Excellent and Perfect in Paradise

Our stay was perfect. The property had everything we needed with a great location. Our host was so gracious and answered any questions and communicated wonderfully. They even let us do a very late checkout since our flight was delayed and so late.

Great location. I would say the only things that could have made it better would be better lighting/switches, an ice maker and a coffee pot. Other than that, it was a great place to vacation.

What a great property located near everything and anything you need: grocery store, food trucks, coffee, a bakery, and a bunch of really good restaurants. The property was clean, organized, and stocked well with everything from towels for the bathrooms to kitchen and grill accessories. The owners responded quickly to any questions we had too. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay!

Gorgeous views and spacious unit

We loved our stay! Absolutely stunning views and a wonderful location. The resort is very well cared for. It has many activities and amenities that we took advantage of-- we particularly loved the shuffle board and mini golf. We snorkeled right off the resort and saw turtles, fish and an octopus. The unit itself is well laid out. We had very little need for the AC units but having them was a perk. The kitchen was well stocked and aside from no scissors, there was nothing else we wished we had. The use of their beach chairs and boogie boards was so nice! Overall, highly recommend.

Excellent stay!!

My family and I had a wonderful time. The home was spacious and accommodated all our sleeping needs comfortably. The home was clean and supplied with everything we needed for our stay. The view was beautiful. The owners were quick and responsive with communication. Check in and check out was a breeze. Most importantly, they allowed us some flexibility on our check out time on the last day, which we appreciated so very much! Would recommend!!

Maui Wowie

The resort is its own oasis, from playing in the sand to swimming in the pool. The room had everything we needed, you know when you say, I wonder if they gave this or that...the answer was yes. The resort has activities each day, a Mai Tai hour. We had all the ammenities we needed. We arrived late so lots closed but we were prepared. You dont get a lot of noise from neighbors, the staff are super nice and helpful. 10 out of 10 stay!

Christmas vacation

We have stayed at the Papakea many times and overall, found this to be a good unit for families. The layout is spacious and carpets have been replaced with hard surface flooring so it is easy to clean. The ocean and garden views are nice and it is also north facing so does not get very overheated by direct sun. The unit is well equipped with boogie board and beach items. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped (even has some sharp knives which is almost unheard of). Owners were prompt in responding to questions. Mattresses need replacing but overall this is a pretty good rental.

A great stay at Papkea Resort

Our family of 10 (11 when you count our infant granddaughter) had a wonderful time at Brian’s place. The condo was clean and suited our needs just great! There were plenty of beds for all of us! The kitchen was stocked well including spices and such from other guests to get us started. Plenty of soaps, shampoos, toilet paper.and laundry soap. So many nice touches. Papakea resort was beautiful as well. The kids loved the swimming pool! The beach steps away had shady spots while we played in the ocean for the days we didn’t want to drive anywhere. Communication with the owner was spot on!

The Best

We had an amazing stay at this condo. Brian was very easy to work with during the entire process, and provided clear and thorough information regarding everything we needed to know as we prepared for our trip. The condo is in a beautifully maintained resort with friendly staff, great activities and an amazing location. The beach is a very short walk, as are several restaurants and a grocery store. The condo itself was perfect for our large group ... plenty of space and well stocked with beach/pool towels, chairs, boogie boards, etc. We absolutely loved it.

Nice Little Maui Vacation!

The home is nice, beds are comfortable, lots of room for family as we had 6 adults and 4 kids and managed to make it all work! The condo complex has a very nice pool and grill area. The location is kind of far from Kihei and the major western shore beaches, but there are some good beaches not too far up north.

Spring Break Sun

We had a wonderful stay at this Maui property. The unit was just as depicted, and was a perfect fit for our family of 5, plus Grandma. All the necessary kitchen items were there to make everything that we desired, and were in relatively good shape. The unit also had beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, and a cooler to make our daily excursions to the beach that much more fun. The property had a decent pool, and the kids really enjoyed the outdoor shuffleboard and putting green that was first come first serve. Brian was easy to get a hold of and very quick to respond with any questions we had. All in all, a great Spring Break stay and we would absolutely book again!
