We had a big party of 6 and this condo met all of our needs. We love the view, the beach. The morning showers and mountain views while the sun shined the rest of the day. Condo was clean and well kept. If we had one complaint it would be the king bed in the master it has a dip on one side nearest to the closet that yoy sink in and it was cery uncomfortable to sleep on. So we would recommend a new mattress. But everything else was wonderful!

Nice stay in Kahana

We enjoyed staying up in Kahana which was a bit north of the main resorts in Kaanapali - the beach at the resort was not ideal for swimming or snorkeling, but we did see turtles there. The Kahana Sunset was easy access to Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay which were really nice beaches. The property grounds were very nice and the pool / grilling area were nice. The communication and check in/out process were both very good. The kitchen could provide a few more very basic amenities that I find common in VRBO listings and the cutlery and plates could use an update.

Wonderful Stay

Our unit at Kahana Sunset was clean and had everything we needed for our 10-day stay. We had an issue with the AC and it was promptly fixed. Our host was caring and communicative. The grounds are immaculately cared for and one groundskeeper even cut fresh mango and papaya for us! Kahana is conveniently located a short drive from Kaanapali (though be aware that it might be sunny just south in Lahaina and rainy here!). The pool is nice and thankfully has a baby pool if you have a non-swimmer. The only thing I wish we were aware of is how tiny the private beach is now due to erosion, etc. You can find out more if you want to Google it. There are so many turtles here and it’s so lovely that we probably wouldn’t have needed to drive to other beaches! But the beach is now so small that unless conditions are perfect (i.e. no wind), it isn’t safe for little kids to play.

Good Choice

Our family of six stayed in B7. Unit was great. It had everything we needed except Tupperware and large sheet pan. Beds were fine. The Murphy bed came in handy and slept much better than a pull-out would have.

Best quiet condo complex with private beach

Perfect condo for our family- 6 adults. Plenty of room with all our adult children to fit perfectly. Murphy bed comfortable. Kitchen was stocked but needed pot holders or oven mitts. Added bonus towels to use at beach. Balcony’s were perfect for dinners outside and relaxing. Best part was the small quiet condo complex with a private beach. No resort hustle and bustle. Perfect set up with chairs for the beach, lounge chairs and trees to relax under while on the grass. Pool was perfect for an after ocean night swim. Walking distance to grocery & cute shops. My only suggestion would be master mattress.. although it’s a huge king you can’t utilize the space. There are “body divots” so you can’t move around because you are stuck in the divots. Will stay again!!

Amazing Maui

We had a great experience, it was as shown and we had adequate space for the four of us. We stayed 5 days in Napili and made our way here for another 4. Pools and bbq’s, gardens and common areas were spotless. Nice home with a great kitchen and two bathrooms which was great with the kids. We ate out one meal a day, the rest cooked there. No stairs. Our elderly neighbor left us a note to watch the door when coming in/out as soon as we arrived but thereafter we had a quiet rest of our stay. The last thing to mention for those of you with little ones, as it’s the last building, it’s a good 1.5-2 city blocks to the beach. It didn’t bother us with teens, but I wouldn’t want to lug them all down at 6, 2 and 1. But that’s maybe just me; I want to avoid packing up kids because that’s part of my work at home! We were very close to restaurants and ‘the cinnamon bun place’! As well as loads of places to rent boards/snorkel gear (we surfed and snorkelled). Nice first experience in that part of Maui.

Great stay!!

Our stay at Kahana Sunset. Love the location of these condos and the private cove was excellent for swimming, snorkeling and viewing turtles Would have preferred the kitchen to have been stocked a bit more. We were a group of only three and were running out of utensils fairly often. The grounds are beautiful and the staff was very responsive when we had issues with the TV.

This property exceeded my expectations. The unit was newly renovated, clean and accommodated my family of 6 easily. The beach was steps away as was the pool. We enjoyed our stay. No issues on check in and they accommodated our late check out request. The location was low key and parking was convenient. Grounds were clean. Condo was furnished with the basics and we were able to cook everything we needed. Everything was serviceable and as described. Used the condo BBQ also. We would stay here again.

Unit B7 Perfect For Us

Unit was as depicted online. Very nice layout; very nicely updated. We would stay in this unit again. So much good cannot list it all. High points were the immaculate care of the resort grounds, the view, private sandy beach, and well maintained pool. BBQ grills appeared brand new. Parking spaces within feet of door to condo. Some of Maui's (and U.S.) beaches within 15 minute drive (Napili Bay, Slaughterhouse). Not bad but worth mentioning: when A/C running, top deck unusable due to A/C unit exhaust right on deck; despite requesting an early check in (we hoped unit could be cleaned closer to 2PM vice 3PM, unit was not cleaned until 3:30 and it was a rush job. Management seemed less than empathetic about the delay when I called and offered no recourse. In summary, the resort is very 70ish looking but Unit B7 feels brand new with all the upgrades and the property grounds were impeccable.

Perfect place to stay and base for exploring the northwest side of Maui

Kahana Sunset is a great development with perfectly situated buildings around a community core of pool/grills/beach. The beach access is steps away and did have turtles on the north side on several occasions. Many people gather to watch the beautiful sunsets over the ocean each evening and use the community grills. Kids meet up at the pool and on the grounds while playing and lizard hunting. Unit B7 has great views of the common area and the beach. The unit is remodeled nicely and came stocked with basic supplies (hair dryer, TP, soap, laundry soap, etc). There were some sand mats and a boogie board in the unit when we were there and we left some pool noodles as well. We had every kitchen tool we wanted for except some grill tongs, but we used regular metal kitchen tongs. The bed in the master does sag a bit, kinda hard to tell if it's a memory foam or just older, so if you are a stomach sleeper you want to keep to the middle of the bed! Patio furniture is worn, but every unit had the same stuff that we saw. Showers and towels provided were great, W/D worked well. Each room has an A/C with remote which worked well, we barely used it though, choosing to leave the doors open when home to hear the ocean waves. Several folks we met had been there many times and returned over and over, highly recommended! Sullivan properties who manage B7 were very helpful, providing all info and calling ahead of our trip to make sure we had the key codes. The gate code provided is for the gate/door to down to the common area/pool/beach, so you need that too. Parking was easy and always available. We had a great time and would stay again for sure! Napili and Kapalua bays are a few minutes north and have great snorkeling, Napili Market is 2 mins away and has everything you need. Joey's Kitchen is excellent Filipino food right in the market shopping center as well. Weds/Saturday farmers market across the main road from the Napili Market has nice stalls with food, jewelry and other hand made products. Lahaina is 20 minutes away for more towny stuff, try the Bakery!

I fell in love

My unit had a gorgeous view of the beach and sunset. It was amazing, peaceful and quiet. The private beach had great snorkeling with turtles and plenty of tropical fish to see everyday. I can't wait to come back!

Not quite what we expected

We had a nice time in the condo after we let it air out for the first 24 hours. The condo had an unpleasant older person smell to it. The upstairs rooms were roomy but very outdated. The down stairs was beautiful. The kitchen was lovely to cook in but was lacking some basic kitchen tools since it seemed that the condo hadn't been lived in or rented for quite some time. The map link shows this condo to be in the downtown Lahaina area off of front street. It is NOT. It's way up in Kahana and we don't care to stay so far from Front street. We actually felt duped about the location. The beach was very pretty. Turtles came once. The sand was pretty but extremely soft so it's best for good swimmers. The pool/BBQ area was GREAT. The condo did NOT have its own WIFI. We had to log into the neighbors and that came and went which was hard for us. I'd say this place was for families with small children. There were lots running around the grounds and our neighbors were with a few and we could hear them through the wall. It was a pleasant time but probably wouldn't recommend this condo.
