Beautiful property! So nice having all the Marriott amenities available! There were no complaints from any of my crew…beds were comfortable, furniture was nice. Loved the lanai and sitting having coffee in the morning. A great way to start a perfect day in Paradise!

Great place, photos are a bit misleading

Overall the location and layout made it great. There were some aspects of the unit that were not obvious from pictures / description. For example the master bedroom was a fully seperately adjoining hotel room rather than a bedroom off the same suite. And one of the secondary bedrooms did not have an en suite bathroom even though the pictures made it seems that way. They were candid and transparent that the pictured unit wasn’t the same as the one that might be offered but I would say there was a meaningful difference in the furtniture, decor, etc. of the one we stayed in vs. the images in VRBO.Be advised there is available parking in the garage right next door but the check in staff is not trained to tell you it is there. They will tell you to valentines for 35 per day or to do seperate self-parking at a different property. Overall, it was a 4/5 experience but we certainly had some surprises and I’ll be trying a different property next time I go to Kaanapali.

Great Marriott time share rental overlooking the beach!

Marriott always does a nice job with its properties. Well updated, super clean, reasonably well stocked kitchen area, etc. A great location on Kanapalli Beach, too with great views and great pools.

Exceeded Expectations

Coming off a week in Wailea at a high end property to our first Vrbo rental, we didn’t know what to expect. This property exceeded what we had hoped for. The location is ideal for active people looking for things to do. The pictures of the unit were understated relative to the amazing views. The extra large balcony allowed for family time watching the sunsets. Surfing lessons out front and a short walk to black rock for snorkeling/jumping were some of our highlights. The Napili tower also offered its own pools away from the other pools if you wanted to just hang out in peace. You will not be disappointed if you choose this property.

Spacious, Comfortable and Gorgeous views!

We celebrated my husbands retirement by taking our 2 children, their spouses and our grandchildren (3 boys under age 5) and my MIL. Rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable and the views were amazing. Would highly recommend this villa for a family vacation. It would have been nice to have more chairs on the balcony to accommodate us. (there is only 4 on the balcony) We were told they had beach chairs and coolers in the room, however that was not accurate. Overall, a very nice resort!

Perfect family vacation

We are a big family and this unit fit our family of 8 perfectly. 2 adults and 5 kids ages 6-17. The ocean front views were amazing! Sunsets on the lanai can’t be beat. The resort itself had so much for the kids to do. Water slides, splash park, daily treats and activities, etc. it was the perfect combo of luxury and family friendly. The location on the beach is great. Walking distance to so many restaurants and shopping at Whalers Village. We travel a lot and this was our favorite family trip to date!

Check in time was supposed to be by 4pm. We arrived at 3:30 so we expected to wait, but they did not get us into the room until well after 5pm. The bell boys then took another 45 minutes to get our luggage delivered. On the website, the 3bdrm, (for which we paid a lot for the week) is supposed to have a wrap around balcony. It does not. The beach is totally eroded and not one person mentioned that in their communication to us. The unit has huge cockroaches (my daughter has caught and released two ). The hotel staff was unresponsive (we waited over 24 hours for a shower curtain to be put in the bathroom so it could be used by my family). If I could do it all over again (since the money is already spent) I would NEVER stay here again.

Kaanapali Stay

This property was clean, advertised correctly and in a great location for our young adult kids to have a good time after us oldies went in for the night. Kitchen could use more items to help with food prep and cooking, as well as more pots and pans and definitely more storage containers/storage bowls. Would most definitely stay here again.

Family vacation

We had a fantastic time at this property. We were traveling with four teenaged children (two boys and two girls) and we 3BR/3Bath to share between us. Perfect! The kitchen was just okay - sparsely equipped - but the layout of the space worked well. We had a first floor unit which was ideal. The staff was great, the pools were crowded, but I'd stay there again.

Mixed feelings!

We paid extra for a third bedroom lockout that had air conditioning nose problems which meant the air was off in that room to stop noise and we could not use this 3rd bedroom to sleep. We will be submitting a request for a partial refund.

Maui Rentals booking system is horrible if they tried to trick me

My family and I did rent through VRBO and Maui prop rental a nice studio in Maui. We’ve booked it and a few weeks after got a call from a manager about a double listing and double booking. They switched us to a similar suite but more expensive (I had no choice, there was nothing listed anymore by anyone for this point in time). They told me to book directly through them and that VRBO would refund me the VRBOs fees… never happened and even worst, a few weeks after once I did pay in full, they called me to tell me that the new suite was also double booked… what a coincidence, happening all of this to me… but another incredible one is that the original suite got freed up the same day. They refunded me the difference between the original listing and the new one forgetting to refund the vrbo fees as the new one was a direct booking and they had switch me back. More that a 1000$ they owe me

Great house is great location

We recently stayed at the Makena Landing house for a small family reunion. The house is lovely and in a great location. Pros: Great location right by great snorkeling AMAZING VIEWS! Sandy beaches about a 2 minute walk south and about an 8 minute walk north Great body surfing on the sandy beaches when the waves are high The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies Great layout for a multi-family get together We did family photos at sunset with a pro photographer that turned out great! Cons: The listing indicates the house sleeps 14, but there are only 11 beds. Our 12th person had to sleep on a made up mattress bed on the floor The area in front of the house is rocky. Its fine to jump in when the waves are calm but not when the surf is up The driveway is STEEP! Overall, we'd stay at the house again. Helen is wonderful to work with as well

Amazing resort, awesome pools and playground, and whale watching daily from our balcony!

From booking and confirmation all the way to check out, we have zero complaints about our stay. We were on the 8th floor of the Lahana tower, and could easily watch the whales daily from our balcony. It felt like a dream. Take good binoculars, and you will feel like you are right next to them. One piece of advice - if you enjoy chairs right up by the beach, these rentals were hard to acquire! I'm not sure if it is something that can be reserved in advance of check in, and we were able to get a cabana for two, two of the days, since we hadn't booked any activities in advance and had some flexibility. The kids loved being able to swim at the pool with the grotto and waterslide, though the slide seemed to be open for limited hours right now. We also took advantage of the take and go activities from the children's center. Another tip for snorkelers - there is a large, shallow reef in front of the hotel beach, but if you walk a little ways up towards Black Rock, it is much easier to enter the water there. Snorkeling at Black Rock is a dream, and also an easy walk up the beach. We cannot wait to visit Maui again soon, and will definitely book thru Maui Resort Rentals!
