The room was clean. I was disappointed the view was of the back of the resort. I had hoped it was of the pool area. The pool area is beautiful. Very nicely spread out. Very clean. We walked to the beach but the water was too cold to get in for us. It was nice. There are beach chairs and a cooler in the room to use which is very nice. The bed is very uncomfortable and lumpy. My husband and I both suffer from back issues and this really affected our trip as we could not sleep well with the mattress as it is. The couch and chair are old and stained. The parking garage is always crowded. Spaces are very tight to park in. We ate at Dukes twice. It was very good each time. There is a food truck court across the street from the resort and a grocery store just across from there as well. The day we were leaving, my husband got stuck on the elevator. It was very hot in there and I was very upset with the handling of the situation. After he had been in there for over 30 minutes, they finally called 9-1-1 to get the firemen there to get him out!!! He was trapped there for an hour total. The alarm in the elevator didn’t work to notify anyone. He used the emergency call but it was connected to someone in Florida. Luckily he had his cell phone with him. He called me and I called security and they finally came. It was very upsetting. The stairs are hard to find in the building. They need to make them easier to locate.
